Dark Omens is the 3rd side mission in Nioh 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of the Dark Omens Side Quest.
Dark Omens is unlocked when you complete A Voice in the Twilight.
Recommended Level: 13
Region: AWAKENING
Requirement: Finish the 2nd Side Mission A Voice in the Twilight
Reward: Sacred Ash x1, Small Spirit Stone x3, Genin’s Kusarigame, Brawler’s Waistguard
Go around
Right at the beginning you will be greeted by Nioh’s favorite feature: locked door which opens only from the other site. Follow the linear path around until you reach a fork in the road.
Choose the right path if you want to have it a bit easier. While taking the right path you will run into a Yokai Realm which you will have to take care of. Once done you can use the Shrine that’s found there. Follow the path upstairs and you will reach the door to the main objective. But before going through you can go past it to end up where the left path would have taken you.
In the arch you will meet your first One-eyed Yokai. You can push the boulder to kill some smaller enemies below. Taking the right path made it possible to approach all the enemies in this area from behind, giving you an advantage over them. Once you are done checking out the area, head back to the big door you saw upstairs.
Behind the door waits a small Yokai Realm and your first encounter with a Tengu Yokai. Once this bird is defeated the mission will conclude.
Where to find the Kodama
A Kodama can be found behind the first building you come across while following the linear path at the beginning of the mission.
The next one can be found halfway up the stairs after the corrupted Yokai Realm / second Shrine (the Shrine is inside the corrupted Realm). There will be a gap halfway up the stairs you can go through to find it there.
The final Kodama can be found on the path with the cyclops on it (on a rock on the side of the path leading up the hill).
This finishes Dark Omens side mission in Nioh 2.
