The Shiftling’s Wise Judgement is the 14th side mission in Nioh 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of the The Shiftling’s Wise Judgement Side Quest.
The Shiftling’s Wise Judgement is unlocked when you complete The Hollow Fortress Main Mission.
Recommended Level: 36
Region: SOARING
Requirement: Finish The Hollow Fortress Main Mission
Reward: Double-headed Snake Tonfa, Borehole Bow, Sakai Rifle, Explosive Rounds x3
An easy 2 on 1 battle
As soon as the mission starts head towards Hachisuka Koroku or Shibata Katsuie. You can recruit one of them to join you. The other one will be this mission’s boss. So if you talk to Hachisuka you get to fight Shibata and vice versa.
You now must backtrack all the way to where the 1st Shrine in Main Mission “The Mysterious One Night Castle” was. Along the way feel free to take out the enemies for Amrita, or if you don’t need it rush past them and head straight for the target marked on the radar in top right corner.
Rest at the Shrine to create a save point close to the boss area. On your way to the boss you can also hop in the hot spring (to the left side after crossing the bridge from Shrine).
Go to the same place where you fought Kamaitachi in the main story. In the forest section the boss of this mission will appear. Again, who you fight against will depend on who you picked as your NPC companion for this mission. Because this is a 2 on 1 battle odds are in your favor. Let your buddy take the attacks while you land some hits from behind. This way you don’t have much risk, and the buff from the hot spring will keep healing you for a while. Once the boss is dead, talk to your NPC friend and the sub mission will finish.
This finishes The Shiftling’s Wise Judgement side mission in Nioh 2.

You can also 1v2 them in the boss fight which is a bit more fun just gall into the river behind tomichiro and make your way to the boss area from there
Frank Rizzo says
It’s not a 2 v 1 easy fight. He shows up with a whole group of enemies.

Depends who you fight against. If it’s Koroku he’s alone. Katsuie has some weak henchmen that don’t pose a threat.
