Nioh 2 Master of the Three Evils Walkthrough

March 15, 2020 by DK 5 Comments

Master of the Three Evils is the 37th side mission in Nioh 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of Master of the Three Evils Side Quest.

Masters of the Tree Evils is unlocked when you complete Pervading Waters Main Mission, The Refined Man of the Underworld Side Mission and Master of the Dual Blades Dojo Mission (you need 180.000 Proficiency Points with the Dual Blades)

Recommended Level: 58
Region: DAWN
Requirement: Finish Pervading Waters, The Refined Man of the Underworld, reached Region 5, and Master of the Dual Blades (requires 120,000 Proficiency with Dual Swords)
Reward: Highest Quality Leather Platelet x3, Leather Cord x3, Lacquer x3, Ingot x3

Matsunaga Hisahide Boss Fight

This sub mission consists of only 1 single boss fight against Matsunaga Hisahide. He’s a new boss you haven’t met before. He will start the fight with a grapple move – he’ll run towards you can try to grab you (which deals a lot of damage if he connects). Dodge to the left just before he reaches you and you’ll be fine. He likes to buff himself and throw poison or paralysis bombs at you. When you buff yourself with magic and debuff him it makes things a bit easier. His throwing animations are slow and leave him vulnerable. When he throws something run behind him and do either a single :triangle: high-stance attack that deals a lot of damage or connect with some longer combo.

Once he’s defeated you’ll be done with this sub mission and receive his guardian spirit as a reward.

This finishes Master of the Three Evils side mission in Nioh 2.

      Hello, my friend,

I want to tell you(and all the others) that I am truly disappointed in many things in Nioh 2. Since I started playing Nioh(almost 2 years ago) i was so obsessed with the game. It was more than perfect. But since NIoh 2 released(pre-ordered ofc) i am being more and more disappointed. Now with this mission master of the dual blades was the last piece.

I want to clarify to everybody, so you don’t make the mistakes I did.. i’ve trained one mission like 50 times just to get proficiency with dual katana, but DOJO mission never appeared.

IT WILL APPEAR ONCE YOU FINISH REGION 5 AND CONTINUE TO NEXT(TWILIGHT WHICH IS REGION NUMBER SIX).

Which ofc is super stupid, because you won’t be able to play side mission from the previous region. So yeah, thats all. Once you beat Shibata from the main mission – Ruin Draws Near you will get like 7-8 dojo missions… have fun guys

Edit: TWILIGHT is region 5, not 6. But its stupid anyway since you are not able to play side mission in region 4.

Can confirm the requirement of this mission is also now 120k instead of 180k.

So much easier to avoid his unlockable by using Enki Skill. I did it on way of strong cuz he was ohk’ing me consistently. The timing is a lot more forgivable. Thanks for the info!
