Nioh 2 The Forest Veiled in Darkness Walkthrough

The Forest Veiled in Darkness is the 1st side mission in Nioh 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all areas of the The Forest Veiled in Darkness Side Quest.

The Forest Veiled in Darkness is unlocked when you complete The Village of Cursed Blossoms Main Mission.

Find Spirit Stones for Tokichiro

The mission is pretty straightforward. Tokichiro wants you to get some Spirit Stones in a forest full of thieves.

Sticking to the right side of the map will lead you to the second Shrine of this area. Follow the path under the bridge you see in the above picture and the shrine will be on your right. This is also the way that leads you to the main objective of this mission. At the end of area you will see a huge orange crystal.

When you get close to it a few small Yokai will spawn which you have to kill. Once done an Enki Yokai will appear. Once the Enki is dead and the crystal shattered, the mission will conclude. As soon as the Enki spawns, it will lock you into the area and cause a Yokai Realm corruption that you can’t get out of. This means your Ki (stamina) will recover more slowly. A general strategy that will work with any weapon is to bait it into attacking, then walk (or run) back to avoid all attacks. When the Enki finishes the combo, you will have a short window of opportunity to land 1 hit, preferably with High-Stance to deal the most damage. It may take a few tries but you will already have fought two Enkis during the 1st Main Mission and the move pattern is the same here. Where to find Kodama

The first Kodama will be in the middle of the map. Look for it under a tree with glowing mushrooms on it.

The second and final one will be on the left side of this map behind a chest. You can knock over a tree to get over there or simply take the route around the map.
