Aeserion’s Scale is a crafting material in Crimson Desert, used for refinement at the blacksmith. It’s always used for the final upgrade refinement level 10 on any equipment. Every weapon, armor, accessory, cloak, and tool requires one Aeserion’s Scale for the final upgrade.
Aeserion’s Scale Locations:
Aeserion’s Scale is a steel scale obtained from Aeserion, the Great Serpent. An unknown power still surges within it.
- Aeserion’s Scale is found exclusively at the “Serpent Shrine”, an island in the south-west corner of Delesyia region. Glide over to the island and you will find a huge serpent crawling around the area. Ignore the serpent and check the southern half of the island, there are 20+ Aeserion’s Scales scattered on the floor all over the island. You must have the Kuku Pot (automatic story unlock from Chapter 4 – Main Quest: The Mysterious Pot) and seal them inside the Kuku Pot. To do this, use Axiom Force to grab the Scales (hold L3 / Mouse Wheel) then press the “Seal” prompt (Triangle / Y / ‘R’ key).

- After collecting the Aeserion Scale, open the Kuku Pot from your inventory and click “Take Out” to transfer it to your inventory so you can use it at the blacksmith for upgrades. Don’t discard them since they are limited, keep them in the Kuku Pot. In case you lost your Kuku Pot, you can get another by sending your comrades to the Expedition “Kilnden Workskhop > Kuku Pot Production” via your Greymane Camp at Howling Hill.

- After visiting the Serpent Shrine location, it will appear as an Expedition at your Greymane Camp on Howling Hill. You can send your comrades to the Serpent Shrine expedition (under Delesyia region) to farm more Aeserion’s Scales.
