Cradle of Defense is the 73rd main mission in Crimson Desert. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Cradle of Defense main quest.
- Starting Location: Hernand region
- Chapter: 6 – Cracks in the Shield
- Sub-Chapter: Under the Banner Pike Again
- Requirement: Finished previous main quest The Counterattack
- Reward: None
- Quest Description: Allied banners fly once more over the southern reaches of Calphade. The cradle of the Shield will now serve as the foundation for the city reconstruction.
Objectives:
- Raise the banner pike at the siege armory
- Raise the banner pike at the gunpowder mill
- Raise the banner pike at Thalwynd
Raise the banner pike at the siege armory
For this quest you must fight through a battlefield, pick up and place 3 banners. In what order you grab them is up to you, but we’ll go through them in the recommended order as per the ingame objectives. Like you were shown in the prior quest you must use Nature’s Grasp with

to lift the banners. Carry them up the wooden platform, press

+ 
to place the banner in the slot. This will also clear out the enemies in the respective area. If the enemies bother you, clear them out first.
Tip: The weapon “Tauria Curved Sword” (from Boss: Crowcaller) is highly recommended. Its 
heavy attack casts crows that home in on enemies and is extremely strong at clearing out big crows of enemies. Pair it with the skill “Nature’s Echo” (green skill tree), it duplicates your heavy attacks. It requires buying all 3 Forward Slash skills (blue) & all 3 Keen Senses skills (green). Be careful of enemies that grapple you, they will punch you on the ground and you must quickly complete the / QTE to avoid the damage.

Note: There will be artillery towers in this area shooting at you. Using Nature’s Grasp slows time, it’s possible to carry the banner even though they’re shooting at you.
This finishes Cradle of Defense in Crimson Desert.
