In Crimson Desert you can unlock a playable Robot Mount (Mech Suit / Exosuit). In-game it’s called A.T.A.G (All-Terrain Armored Gear). It functions like a battle machine, there are variants equipped with a minigun or flamethrower, rocket launcher, anti-air missiles, and a jetpack. You may have seen the robot in official gameplay trailers already and are wondering how to get it.
How to Unlock Playable Robot Mount
You automatically unlock the robot in Story Chapter 10 – Main Quest: Hidden Ace. Unlocking and training in the ATAG Robot is a mandatory objective in the story, there’s no way to miss it.
As part of the quest you will talk to a dwarf in Delesyia region, in the Gorthak area where mechanical bugs are at war with the Orcs. There the story introduces you to the robot, and you then complete a short training course where you test the weapon systems.
Afterward, you can find more of the A.T.A.G. Robots in hangars throughout Delesyia region, in Gorthak area. They look like big metal containers with green lights on the front door, and you must pull the lever in front of the door. Then you find a robot parked inside that you can mount and walk around in it. You find these all over Gorthak area. Each Hangar contains a slightly different variant of the Robot, some will have a flamethrower and some have guns.
Note that the robot has limited fuel and health (purple bar displayed in the bottom left of the screen). So unfortunately, it’s of limited use and you can’t stray too far with it. While it does have a Jetpack for high jumps and a speedboost mode, it is still slower than riding a horse. It’s mainly useful for the Chapter 10 storyline that takes place in Gorthak which makes you fight the mechanical bug enemies.
