Helm of Knowledge is a special headgear in Crimson Desert that lets you learn knowledge from afar. It is particularly helpful to learn knowledge about butterflies and other insects for Life Challenge 4: Tiny Citizens of Grasslands.
Helm of Knowledge Location
Go to Scholastone Institute in the south-west of Hernand region. Enter the main building in the north through the main entrance over the bridge. In the entrance hall, enter the big gate straight ahead. If this is locked, make sure you progressed through chapter 4 until the story takes you to Scholastone.
It leads to a corridor, go through to the end and then turn left to go up the stairs.
On the top floor, go to the end of the right balcony to find the Helm of Knowledge.
How to Use Helm of Knowledge
The controls of this are a bit confusing. You must first equip the helm in the inventory, then activate it from the Functions Menu by holding D-Pad 
.
Once selected, press 
+ 
/ 
+ 
to activate the helm. If done correctly, the world around you will glow blue, insects and other knowledge objects will have blue sparkles around them. Because some butterflies are high up in the air and are hard to catch by hand, this is a guaranteed way to scan them from afar to fill in the knowledge entry.
