There are 5 Spear Challenges in Crimson Desert. They are part of the Mastery Category. Finishing all Spear Challenges unlocks the Master of Spears trophy & achievement.
Challenges Overview:
Sharpened Spear 1
- How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact in Hernand, at intersection southeast of Calphade Gate.
- Challenge: Land 15 counterattacks with a spear within 30 seconds.
- How to Complete: Counterattacks can count as performing parries while holding the spear. If you parry while within close proximity to multiple enemies the parry move will hit multiple enemies, counting as multiple counterattacks toward this counter. This means you can stand in a group of enemies and just parry their attacks for 30 seconds to complete the challenge.
- Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact
Sharpened Spear 2
- How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact in Hernand, at Greymane Nas River Shrine.
- Challenge: Hit enemies 50 times with a spear within 30 seconds.
- How to Complete: The basic spear attack consists of a series of fast poke attacks in a row, so you just need to continually attack a larger group of enemies with the spear for the entire duration and you should complete this relatively easily.
- Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact, 1x Gale II
Sharpened Spear 3
- How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact in Hernand, at intersection immediately west of Hook Rapids Hearth.
- Challenge: Take down 5 enemies within 15 seconds using the Stab attack.
- How to Complete: The Spear Stab attack is performed the same way as the Sword Stab attack (

/ SHIFT + Right Click ). Use this move to defeat 5 enemies within 15 seconds. - Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact
Sharpened Spear 4
- How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact in Demeniss, at intersection directly west of Flame Knight’s Castle.
- Challenge: Defeat 3 enemies within 1 minute using a Spear Leap Attack.
- How to Complete: Spear Leap attacks are performed by being in the air and then attacking. The best move to do this with is the heavy attack
which is a large vertical sweep that does decent damage. - Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact, 1x Faded Abyss Artifact, 1x Insight I
Sharpened Spear 5
- How to Unlock: Pick up Sealed Abyss Artifact in Hernand, at intersection immediately west of Bradenfern Farm.
- Challenge: Defeat 5 enemies without taking damage from spears while maintaining 100% health.
- How to Complete: The wording on this challenge is currently incorrect, the requirement seems to be defeating 5 enemies in a row while at full health using the spear, the weapons the enemies are holding doesn’t matter. Like other no damage requirements there is no time limit on this, so you can walk around groups of enemies to fight one at a time, and deal with any ranged enemies beforehand to stop yourself taking damage from ranged attacks.
- Reward: 1x Abyss Artifact

For Sharpened Spear 1 challenege, you can also use the Counter Stance skill (hold R1 and O on controller) and you will do a wide swing after getting hit. Got it with like 20 seconds to spare
