- How to Unlock: Starting in Chapter 7, win arm wrestling at the tavern in Claphade (city in northwestern Hernand) to unlock this.

- Challenge: Have a win streak in Arm Wrestling x3 & beat the Champion
- How to Complete: To have the champion show up, you first need to complete two quests related to Oongka under the Scattered Embers section of Faction Quests that are available starting in Chapter 8, and are required to make him available as a playable character for the rest of the game. The first is Gentle Sound of Flowing River which will become available immediately in Chapter 8 once you are playing as Kliff. This requires you to go fishing with Oongka southeast of the city of Pailune. The second quest is the two under Strength Held in the Fingertips, which are started by speaking to Oongka at Calphade castle where he will appear after you have completed the fishing quest. After this quest is completed, you can win arm wrestling 3 times in a row to face the champion.
- Reward: Money
Hero’s Handshake 3
- How to Unlock: Starting in Chapter 8, win at arm wrestling in Pailune to unlock this.

- Challenge: Have a win streak in arm wrestling x3 & beat the champion.
- How to Complete: The inn in the City of Pailune becomes available at the start of Chapter 8, after which you can participate in arm wrestling. Note the Champion does not appear immediately starting in Chapter 8 though. Once the Champion is available beat 3 opponents in a row, then beat the 4th opponent who is the champion.
To make the champion available, you need to complete Pailune Commissions > Tales of the Pailunese Residents Faction Quests, until eventually one becomes available called Arm Wrestling of the Wages. The residents’ quests can only appear one at a time in a seemingly random order, and are not marked until you go near them when they are available. The arm wrestling quest appears just beside the main road near the south gate. Quests can appear in the city of Pailune, Skoghorn, Odeck, and if you have liberated these locations Ridgehunter Tannery, Steinnfell Fortress, or Halbert Harpoonery. You’ll need to check each location as you complete quests to see where the new one has appeared until the arm wrestling one is available. After you turn in the quest you can return to arm wrestling and win three more times again to face the champion.

- Reward: Money, 1x Abyss Artifact
Freesword’s Grasp
- How to Unlock: Win one match of Hand Wrestling to the south of Delesyia city to unlock the challenge.

- Challenge: Have a win streak in hand wrestling x3 & beat the champion
- How to Complete: Hand Wrestling functions the same as Arm Wrestling, except that you do it while standing up and not sitting at a table. You just have to press the button very quickly and finish the QTEs, same as the other 3 challenges. Beat 3 opponents in a row, then the 4th match will be the champion.
- Reward: Money, 1x Abyss Artifact
