Borderlands 3 Buff Film Buff Side Mission Walkthrough

Buff Film Buff is a side mission in Borderlands 3 (BL3). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Buff Film Buff Side Quest.

Buff Film Buff becomes available during Blood Drive, when you reach Devil’s Razor region.

Objectives:

• Search trash cans
• Pick up ECHO drive
• Find projector room
• Attach ECHO drive
• Kill Rohner
• Find replacement bulb
• Replace projector bulb
• Talk to Buff Film Buff

Starting Location: Buff Film Buff

Search trash cans

Buff is found on a cliffside. He tells you that a guy called Rohner trashed his film. We need to look through some trash cans in the big enemy camp to find the film.

The film is in the last trash can, the one that’s deepest inside the enemy camp. You need to fight through some enemies and head upstairs in a building.

Pick up ECHO drive

After opening the trash can pick up the ECHO drive from it.

Find projector room

From the trash can, follow the stairs up to the balcony, shoot through the enemies and enter the projector room behind them.

Attach ECHO drive

Put the ECHO into the film projector.

Kill Rohner

The projector explodes and we are supposed to repair it now. To get the replacement part, we must kill Rohner (the leader of the camp). He’ll spawn downstairs. Clear out the other enemies first. Once he’s on his own he’s no more dangerous than a badass enemy.

Find replacement bulb

Interact with the wheel of the garage where Rohner spawned, thus revealing the projector bulb. Pick that up.

Replace projector bulb

And bring it back to the projector that exploded earlier (upstairs, same way you took before).

Talk to Buff Film Buff

Return to the quest giver on the cliff outside the camp. All done! He’ll give you $7190 and you earn some XP. No equipment reward for this one.
