Borderlands 3 Dump on Dumptruck Side Mission Walkthrough

Dump on Dumptruck is a side mission in Borderlands 3 (BL3). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Dump on Dumptruck Side Quest.

Dump on Dumptruck is unlocked when you have started Cult Following.

Planet: Pandora
Area: The Droughts
Quest Giver: Ellie
Requirement: having started Cult Following

Reward: 377$ / 252XP / Bonus for optional objectives: Red Chest (missable)
Mission Info: Someone’s been runnin’ their mouth. Time to put a bullet in it.

Objectives:

Kill The Holy Dumptruck
Optional Objective: Shoot ’em in the Ass
Open Trap Door
- Shoot Water Pipe
- Shoot Switch
Find Red Chest

Starting Location: Dump on Dumptruck

Kill The Holy Dumptruck

Spawn/Steal a Vehicle and take the Route seen above to make a jump over the ramp.

You will arrive at his lovely housing in just a second. His platform is circled below. A bit of climbing is needed to reach him.

Of course, he is not alone and you have to shoot your way through a small horde of different Psychos.

Even with his large Shield, Dumptruck is not much of a challenge, as he often turns his back towards us.

Optional Objective: Shoot ’em in the Ass

Getting the optional target is quite easy, as he shows his backside quite a few times. Get that ass! I mean, … you know … oh well.

Open Trap Door

To get to his Chest, we need to unlock the Trap Door. Sadly, the power is out and we have to restore it the Borderlands-way.

Shoot the two Bullseye’s outside. This will cause water to drop down and restore the electricity. The puddle will lead the voltage right through the Trap Door Switch now!
