Borderlands 3 (BL3) has 10 of Hammerlock’s Legendary Hunts. This guide shows the hunt locations. Completing all 10 Legendary Hunts unlocks the Got Big Game trophy or achievement.
None of them are missable! You can still do all of these after the story in free-roam. They are available as soon as you find them on the map. In each hunt you must defeat one unique monster. They are a bit stronger than other monsters on the map but still relatively easy to kill. You can even use a vehicle to kill some of them, which makes it a lot easier.
The Legendary Hunts also count as Crew Challenges (a type of Collectible). They are marked by a green icon on the map once you’ve been near them. The ones you have completed will change to a blue and slightly transparent icon. You can also keep track by opening the world map of the area where a hunt takes place and pressing D-Pad Right. Then it shows how many of each challenge you did in the area. There’s never more than 1 Legendary Hunt per area.
After every completed hunt you receive mail from Sir Hammerlock with a new weapon inside. This can be retrieved under Pause Menu > Social > Mail. After the last hunt you get a Legendary Rifle called “Quickdraw Bekah” that shoots 3 bullets at once.
Because the last hunt is in the final area of the game you can’t complete all of them until the very end of the story. Also, you go to all of these areas as part of the main story missions. In fact, some of the Pandora regions are inaccessible on the first visit to the planet and can only be unlocked near the end of the game when you go there. This guide shows them ordered by planets but if you haven’t been to an area yet just ignore it till you’ve finished the story, then you’ll have access to everything.

Reward
As a final reward, Sir Hammerlock sends you the legendary “Quickdraw Bekah” in the mail. You can retrieve it under Pause Menu > Social > Mail. It will be scaled to your current character level. You may want to wait with the final legendary hunt until you’re level 50 if you want to use it for endgame purposes. It’s actually one of the better legendaries as it shoots 3 bullets per ammo consumed and thus the ammo reserves last for a long time, particularly useful for Circles of Slaughter.
