In Crimson Desert during Chapter 3, Main Quests “Nonhuman” and “Seed of Unease“, you get the objective to track the Devil of the Reed Field. This objective isn’t marked on the map, which makes the Reed Devil location confusing to find.
Nonhuman Quest – Track the Devil of the Reed Field:
After investigating the upper floor of Grace Manor and talking to the Servant NPC, you will see blue outlines of a memory (same room where you talked ot the NPC). View the memory called “Grace Manor”.
Then climb out of the window and use the lantern with L1/LB to see a yellow line. There will be some enemy groups along the way, defeat them and continue using the lantern to follow the yellow line. You must follow it all the way to the endpoint in this hut:
Entering the hut gives a cutscene where you find the Reed Devil, but he runs away and you must track him again. It starts the next quest Seed of Unease.
Seed of Unease Quest – Use the Lantern to track the Devil of the Reed Field: After the cutscene in the hut, there won’t be a quest marker anymore. You must again use the lantern with L1/LB and follow the yellow line to the canyon south-west from the hut. Go to this location on the canyon road:
When you approach, the Reed Devil will appear along some other enemies. Damage him until he disappears, then keep following the linear canyon path forward. You can keep using the lantern to see the yellow line that shows where to go. Along the path more enemies will spawn, but you can run past all of them and just hit the Reed Devil when he appears. He is quite strong, so remember to heal up (
) with any food you have.
Final Reed Devil location: After going through the canyon, you reach a big open field in the south. Head to the altar and inspect the little straw figure on the altar.
This will finish the quest and you get the next quest Dancing With the Devil which is the boss fight against Reed Devil. He’s a tough fight, so you’ll want to bring a lot of healing items.
