Crimson Desert Cave Locations

Crimson Desert contains 133 Cave Locations. Finding 100 of 133 Caves is needed for Life Challenge 12: Cave Exploration Log. Completing the Challenge is one of the requirements for Natural Collector trophy & achievement.

Visited Caves will get an icon on the map, and completed ones get a checkmark which makes them easy to keep track of. They also count retroactively, so finding them before unlocking the challenge will still count and they don’t need to be visited again.

You enter caves in one of four ways:

A lot of caves are hidden behind waterfalls. Use Stab skill where you see a cairn at the waterfall (small stacked stones). You must stand at the specific point indicated by the cairn, which can be at the bottom or middle or top of a waterfall. This gets you behind the waterfall. Sometimes the path inside is blocked by another boulder which can be destroyed with Force Palm skill. You can view the skill controls in the skill tree, Stab is R1+Triangle / RB+Y / Shift+Right Click.
Some cave entrances are blocked by big gold or bismuth boulders. Use Force Palm (R3/Mouse Wheel) on gold boulders and Focused Force Palm on bismuth boulders (hold L3+R3 > hold R3 for a few seconds / on PC hold ‘X’ key and hold Mouse Wheel for a few seconds, then hit the golden glowing dot in the bismuth boulder).
Some caves are entered through holes in the floor, just drop down the opening.
Many caves are entered through a wall opening on a mountainside.

Hernand

Echoing Waves Cave – use Stab skill through the upper waterfall where the cairn is (stacked stones)
Dawn Cave – use Stab skill halfway up the waterfall
Whispering Grotto – use Stab skill at the top of the waterfall
Echoing Tunnel – use Stab skill on the upper level of the waterfall
Black Claw Cave – entrance is in the open side of the mountain through a gate
Death’s Grip Cave – use Stab skill through the middle level of the waterfall
Everfrost Cave – entered through the mountainside
Frostclaw Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the waterfall
Frozen Soul Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the waterfall
Blade Cavern – use Stab skill at the bottom of the waterfall
Shadowheart Grotto – use Stab skill at the bottom of the waterfall
Cloudmust Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom right of the waterfall
Duskwood Cave – on the north side of the Kilden Workshop, there’s an opening on the rock wall in the flooded area, crouch through it
Starlight Storm Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the upper waterfall
Nightstorm Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the waterfall
King’s Rest Cavern – Near the top of the mountain but not at the very top (a few meters below the topmost part), enter through the opening in the mountain wall. Next to a rock bridge that connects the two mountains. Can be hard to see at night, come at day.
Cave of Oblivion – use Focused Force Palm on the Bismuth rock at the bottom of the mountainside at the water level, then seal the rock in the Kuku pot. (Hold L3+R3 > hold R3 for a few seconds / on PC hold ‘X’ key and hold Mouse Wheel for a few seconds, then hit the golden glowing dot in the bismuth boulder)
Stormtalon Ridge Cave – enter from the roadside at the bottom of the mountain
Stormtalon Cave of Time – enter through the open wall at the bottom of the mountain
Deepfog Basin Mistwind Cavern – enter through open wall at bottom of mountain at end of road
Bloodsucker’s Hollow – cave opening at bottom of mountainside
Heart of the Saint – use Stab skill near the top of the waterfall on the little plateau, then inside use Force Palm to break the rock blocking the way (R3/Mouse Wheel)
Three Saints’ Falls Cave – enter the hole in the ground
Shadow’s Whisper Cave – approach from the east, cave opening is in a narrow canyon wall
Hernand Highlands Cavern – at the bottom of the pit enter the tunnel
Specter’s Hideout – cave opening at bottom of mountainside on ground level, next to road
Nas River Cave – look at the two small waterfalls and turn to the right to find this on the side of the river
Porin Cave – cave opening at bottom of mountainside – must finish Faction Quest: The Unreachable Village to access this area, otherwise you get a cutscene where the Shai residents kick you out of Pororin Forest.
Thornbriar Mountains Cavern – drop through the dark hole in the ground
Border’s End – drop down into the pit
Mistveil Forest Cave – on the southern mountainside, break open the big gold ore with Force Palm halfway up the mountain wall (R3/Mouse Wheel)
Mistveil Forest Painted Cave – on the southern mountainside, near the bottom of the mountain (on the plateau just slightly above the water) enter the narrow slit in the mountain wall
Bowsprit Cape Hollow – halfway down the pit with the big cube stuck in it, enter the dark wall opening on the side (not the very bottom where the water is, slightly up the path from the bottom of the pit)
Windwail Cave – use Stab skill halfway up the waterfall
Windrift Cave – use Stab skill on the right side of the two waterfalls halfway up

Firefly Haven Cave – use Stab skill on the right waterfall halfway up
Shadowwolf Cave – use Stab skill on the bottom right of the waterfall, then inside use Force Palm to break the rock blocking the way (R3/Mouse Wheel)
Anvil Hill Stoneback Crab Cave – drop down the middle of the crater
Anvil Hill Cave – drop down the pit and at the bottom use Force Palm on the big gold ore that sticks out the wall (R3/Mouse Wheel)
Anvill Hill Cave (2) – at the top of the hill drop down the dark hole in the ground. This has the same name as the previous cave but is tracked separately.
Anvil Hill Gust Cave – approach the cave from the west, you will see a rainbow colored Bismuth Ore sticking out the side of the mountain wall, break it with Focused Force Palm (Hold L3+R3 > hold R3 for a few seconds / on PC hold ‘X’ key and hold Mouse Wheel for a few seconds, then hit the golden glowing dot in the bismuth boulder).

Horseshoe Lake Burrow – burn the thorns on the ground with Focused Light, then you will automatically put on the visione helmet to see a memory. Open the trapdoor on the ground and fall down to find the Arben Greatsword.
Starlight Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the left waterfall
Crystal Crown Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the leftmost waterfall
Lost Song Cave – use Stab skill halfway up the right side of the waterfall
Hidden Cave – from the Abyss Nexus fast travel point jump down just a little bit to find this in the ravine (not at the very bottom of the area)
Morning Mist Cave – cave opening at bottom of mountainside, next to water
Bay of Abundance – drop into the dark hole in the ground

Cave of Silence – use Stab skill halfway up the right waterfall
Guardian’s Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom of the waterfall, then inside use Force Palm on the gold ore to break it (R3/Mouse Wheel)
Serpent Scale Cave – use Stab skill at the bottom left of the waterfall
Delesyia Ancient Waterway – cave entrance is inside the river
