Bowsprit Cape Solution
The Bowsprit Cape puzzle is a ground level puzzle that you are sent to after trying to go through the teleporter from Ascetic’s Rest, instead of being sent to the next Abyss location. You need to solve this puzzle to progress to the next Abyss.
Instead of being sent to the next Abyss location, you are instead teleported to ground level at Bowsprit Cape inside an Abyss structure.
To travel to the next Abyss location you need to replace all of the power blocks within this structure. First you can place the two long blocks that are floating inside. Then look out the hole in the side to spot the third, placing it in the final long slot.
Now for the flat block, you need to climb outside of the structure you are in, which you can do by climbing the wall where you grabbed the third long block through. Then look up and you can spot a flat power block floating above you.
To reach it, climb onto the nearby cliff which is slightly higher up. Jump and boost yourself into the air as high as you can with mid-air Force Palm (
/ Mouse Wheel) and then glide at the top. While gliding you can use Axiom Force to grab the block in the air (hold
/ TAB key). Then move it down toward the Abyss structure while you are gliding.
Move it down to the structure and inside, then place it in the open slot near the bottom.
After you place is, the structure will start flying up into the air and slowly rotating. Move with the rotation around the floor to stay standing, you need to avoid falling out of the structure. As it starts flipping over, one of the flat plates that was on the roof slides out of place. Grab it with Axiom Force and move it back up and use Force Palm to lock it back in place.
The structure will now continue moving up into the air. Stay on the current ground part and avoid the holes to stay inside as it continues moving around. Once the structure flips back up the way it was originally and stops moving, you can climb outside to see you have arrived at the next Abyss location.
