The Breadwinner is a Side Mission (Side Quest) in Dying Light 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Breadwinner side mission.

Requirement: Complete Main Quest “Markers of Plague”
Reward: 1500 Combat XP, Billhook (1H Machete)
Mission Info: I met a spunky little boy who offered me a “job”: if I bring him food for his parents, he will give me his father’s “superweapon”.
Objectives:
- Search the shop for the backpacks containing food that Kevin left behind
- Bring the food the Kevin
Starting Location: The Breadwinner
The Breadwinner is a side quest in Houndfield that can be started by talking to Kevin northwest of the ‘Cherry’ Windmill after completing the Main Quest “Markers of Plague“. This is a night quest, so after starting it hold 
to fast-forward to night.
Search the shop for the backpacks containing food that Kevin left behind
Head to the forsaken store at the marked location in Houndfield. It is advised that you go here at night as there will be far fewer infected inside the forsaken store at night compared to day.
Enter through the front door and clear the store of infected. Once it is clear, you will need to search the backpacks in the store for food. There are four backpacks and you will need to search any three of them for the food. If you are having problems finding them, don’t forget to use your survivor sense to spot them.
Bring the food to Kevin
Head to the marker to the south and enter the building. Climb through the broken floors to reach Kevin. Talk to him and give him the food.

I’ve searched this locations twice (on the PS5-version of the game), looting everything and I’m just not collecting any food (from backpacks). 🙁
