Double Time is a Side Mission (Side Quest) in Dying Light 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Double Time side mission.

Mission Info: Some punk challenged me to a race. He seemed cocky, so I decided to knock him down a peg or two.
Objectives:
- Run the race
- Enter the dark hollow
- Reach the roof
- Talk to the punk
- Meet the punk at the next starting location
- Run the face
- Enter the dark hollow
- Reach the roof
- Kill the infected attacking the punk
- Check on the punk
Starting Location: Double Time
Double Time is a side quest in Houndfield that can be started by talking to Babin west of the northernmost Nightrunner’s Hideout after completing the Main Quest “Markers of Plague“.
Run the race
Talk to the punk and he’ll challenge you to a race for 200 Old World Money. Accept his challenge.
Enter the dark hollow
Run across the rooftops to the marker at the dark hollow and go inside.
Reach the roof
Once inside the dark hollow, follow the arrow markers on the walls to climb up to the rooftop, but beware as the hollow will be filled with infected that you will want to dodge.
Talk to the punk
Once on the rooftop, talk to the punk who will direct you to meet him at another location in southern Houndfield.
Meet the punk at the next starting location
Head to the location and talk to the punk. Once again you’ll have a choice to race him for 200 or reject him. Whichever you choose, he’ll race you through another dark hollow nearby.
Enter the dark hollow
Run to the marker at the dark hollow nearby and enter it.
Reach the roof
Once inside the dark hollow, follow the arrow markers again while avoiding the infected until you reach the rooftop.
Kill the infected attacking the punk
Once you reach the rooftop, the punk will be getting attacked by infected, so kill all of them.
Check on the punk
Lastly, climb the ladder and talk to the punk. After talking to him you will receive three choices:
- I demand more: 500 Agility XP, your money back and 150 Old World Money
- I accept: 500 Agility XP and your money back
- Keep the money and get out of my sight: 500 Agility XP
This finishes Double Time Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

This quest seems to be bugged for me whenever i finish the quest and go to main menu and load up my save it restarts that quest like i never started it
I have the exact same issue on Ps4, but it starts halfway, like the second part they dube you.
A really easy way to do this quest is to take a shortcut through the first part by climbing directly up once you enter. Then in the second part, the dude actually gives you a hint to cheat and climb the pole outside to the top. Enter through the door to activate the west, then go back outside, climb the drain pipe, and kill the infected surrounding the dude.
Bugged quest I did it 6 times and it keep returning, hopefully it wont effect all side quests trophy :’)
This is incorrect. The I accept option only rewards 500 parkour xp not 1500.
I just threw 150$ away.
I found the solution. First, you have to do “Double Time” and then (Without exit the game) you have to do “The key to humanity”, when you complete “the key to humanity” go to sleep and save your game, exit the game and load again the game, you will have “double Time” completed.
To unlock “The key to humanity” just complete the first step of “The only way out” before to go to the metro with Hakon.

a tip, always at the end of a side quest, an activity, anything that is a progress, a step of a main quest, check if the time works well, sometimes the time can freeze,
make a copy of the save folder, I know it’s boring, but it’s the only way to have a perfect game, when starting again check the log to see if everything is as you left it, I do it like this, in the double time mission, I did it later and part of the mission log did not come out.
