Missing Persons is a Side Mission (Side Quest) in Dying Light 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Missing Persons side mission.
Region: Trinity
Quest Giver: Damien
Requirement: Available after completing Main Quest “The Only Way Out“, and becomes unavailable after completing Main Quest “Water Tower”
Reward: 750 Combat XP, 750 Agility XP, Scrap, 250 Old World Money
Mission Info: A guy at the Bazaar named Damien told me about a place to go if I wanted to earn money. It seemed sketchy at best.
Objectives:
- Meet the group offering a job
- Interview for the job
- Kill the bandits
- Confront Damien
- Kill Damien OR Look for Damien’s brother
- Talk to Damien
- Look for Cliff at the Devil’s Bridge
- Search the building
- Eliminate the thugs
- Find Cliff
- Kill Cliff
- Return to Damien
- Talk to Roger
- Climb the church tower
- Talk Damien off the ledge
Starting Location: Missing Persons
Missing Persons is a side quest in Trinity that can be started by talking to Damien in the Bazaar after completing the Main Quest “The Only Way Out”, and becomes unavailable after completing Main Quest “Water Tower”.
Meet the group offering a job
Head to the marked location to the southeast and knock on the door to meet the group.
Interview for the job
Once inside, go downstairs for the interview.
Kill the bandits
Regardless of what you say, the bandits will attack you. Kill them all.
Confront Damien
Leave the building and you will confront Damien. You will have an important choice here that will change the rest of the quest:
- Hand Damien over to Carl: Damien attacks you, quest ends here
- Cooperate with Damien: You look for Damien’s brother, quest continues (recommended)
Kill Damien
If you chose to Hand Damien over to Carl, he will attack you. Kill him and the quest will end.
Look for Damien’s brother
If you chose to Cooperate with Damien, you will need to investigate the two side rooms in the building to look for his brother.
Talk to Damien
Talk to Damien to get a location for his brother.
Look for Cliff at the Devil’s Bridge
Head to the marked location in Quarry End and enter through the rooftop.
Just as you enter there will be The City Classifieds – Baltazar (Tape) on a shelf right next to you. Head through the floors of the building until you reach the bottom, where you can go through a door.
Eliminate the thugs
Kill the thugs.
Find Cliff
Go upstairs and open the door.
Kill Cliff
Kill Cliff.
Return to Damien
Head back to the Bazaar.
Talk to Roger
Talk to Roger.
Climb the church tower
Head outside and walk around the Bazaar to locate the lowest section where you can start climbing it. Head around the platforms into the tower and start climbing it.
Once you reach the top of the tower, you can grab Safe Code (Memento) and Carl’s Journal #4 (Tape) from the safe next to it with the code 510.
Afterwards, interact with the roof hatch to get to Damien.
Talk Damien off the ledge
If you talk to Damien about life and then interrupt him, he won’t jump off. Any other combination and he will jump.
This finishes Missing Persons Side Quest in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Oh I thought I tried all options, I guess I missed the most important one. Thanks for that. Do the rewards change at all if he doesn’t jump?
Btw after I convinced him not to jump off some guy came and Damien started confessing I could either stop him from confessing or not, I chose not to, he confessed and they said they will hang him, is he actually going to be hanged? And what happens if I interrupted him? Thank you for your answer and this guide is great, really appreciate it!
In order to Save Damien Choose TALK ABOUT LIFE then I’ll JUMP TO. You Can’t Interrupt him.
You need to interrupt him in the next section where the other NPC climbs up to avoid him being punished for his crimes.
I been reading and watching many of your video’s this guide is awesome thank you. I don’t usually buy a game when it first comes out since many have bugs and so on. But after watching your review I had to do it since I love open world games. I need to ask is anyone other than me having trouble using consumables ? They say press x to use but they never work can’t take meds SV”s , Boosters. as you can figure I am dying a lot can anyone offer me a work around for this. I’m sure Tech land is working on bigger issues right now. I want to join your thing here tell me how. Thanks for the time to ask you all.
