Ghost of Tsushima A Lost Friend Walkthrough

A Lost Friend is a main tale in Ghost of Tsushima – Iki Island DLC Expansion. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of A Lost Friend Main Quest.

A Lost Friend is unlocked after completing Journey Into the Past.

Mission Info: After our boat to Iki capsized, my horse and I were separated in the squall. I shoud scour the coastline and see if I can find the wreckage of our boat. If he survived, he may have left some tracks along the shore.

Objectives:

Find the Ship that brought you to Iki
Search for Signs of your Horse
Follow your Horse’s Tracks
Defeat the Mongols
Reach your Horse
Charge through the Mongols
Rescue the Survivor

Starting Location: A Lost Friend

Find the Ship that brought you to Iki

Check the shoreline for the boat with two roof-structures on top of it.

Search for Signs of your Horse

Once you are close, you can see that the boat’s captain has drowned. Optionally, you can bury him.

The signs we are looking for are hoof-marks in the sand, near the water.

Follow your Horse’s Tracks

The tracks go generally uphill. Along the way, there will be a few more sections you can interact with to confirm you are still correct.

Once you see a lantern, take the left path and you’ll talk to an NPC just moments after.

After talking to him, continue the main path for a little bit and you will spot your horse, surrounded by a few Mongols.

Defeat the Mongols

Take care of the remaining Mongols that were not downed by your charging companion.

Reach your Horse

Once they are dealt with, your horse stands just a few more metres away, to the right side.

Charge through the Mongols

Now, we are taught a new horse skill. Hold to charge through a group of enemies. Along the way, there are a total of three groups you can practice this on.
