Message in Blood (Yuna Tale 4 of 4) is a side tale in Ghost of Tsushima. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Message in Blood Side Quest.
Message in Blood is unlocked when you’ve completed The Black Wolf.
Side Tale: Message in Blood
Act: 2
Region: Toyotama
Quest Giver: Yuna
Requirement: Complete The Black Wolf
Rewards: Minor Legend Increase, Minor Ranged Charm, +2 Silk
Mission Info: A Yuna Tale (4 of 4). Confronting the Black Wolf was painful for Yuna. She’s gone back to the inn to regroup. I’ll join her there and plan our next move.
Objectives:
- Meet Yuna at Ichi’s Inn
- Mount your horse
- Wait for Yuna
- Travel to Altan’s camp
- Kill the Mongols
- Speak with Yuna
- Duel wih Altan
- Kill Altan’s guards
- Speak with Ichi
Starting Location: Message in Blood
Meet Yuna at Ichi’s Inn
Yuna can be found upstairs at Ichi’s Inn.
Mount your horse
Jump out of the window, go out the gate and climb on your horse.
Wait for Yuna
Sit and wait for about 5 seconds. What a thrilling objective.
Travel to Altan’s camp
You have a 700m ride north-east to the camp. Once you approach, a cutscene will start.
Kill the Mongols
This next objective is basically like liberating any of the outposts on the map. You can take it stealthily or run in with your sword gleaming in the air. Either way, this should be bread and butter now, especially as these are only the easier blue armor Mongols.
Speak with Yuna
Speak to Yuna at the entrance to the camp.
Duel with Altan
Inevitably, you square off against Altan in a duel. As with any other encounter like this, putting your best dodging and parrying abilities to the test will see you cut him down fairly easily. Make sure you’re in Water Stance as he carries a large shield. Also feel free to spam Dance of Wrath if you have it to cut through his HP quickly.
Kill Altan’s guards
Once he’s down, you have his 3 minions to take care of. After that fight, this should be nice and relaxing!
Speak with Ichi
Speak with Ichi on the road to complete this mission.
This finishes the Message in Blood quest in Ghost of Tsushima.
