Mission Info: (Ishikawa Tale 6 of 9). An Ishikawa Tale (6 of 9). Sensei Ishikawa’s former student, Tomoe, has plans to erect Mongol archery training camps across Toyotama. One is in Kushi. There’s a small settlement just over the Yarikawa border where I can begin the hunt.
Objectives:
- Find someone who may have seen Ishikawa
- Speak with the frightened man
- Look for Ishikawa north of Kawamata Village
- Defeat the Mongols attacking Ishikawa
- Climb up the watchtower
- Speak with Ishikawa
- Go to the ambush site with Ishikawa
- Investigate the remains of the convoy
- Go to the ambush site with Ishikawa
- Free the woman
- Survive the ambush by Tomoe’s archers
- Speak with Ishikawa
Starting Location: The Ghost and the Demon Sensei
Find someone who may have seen Ishikawa
Approach the quest objective and you’ll see a small farm area with some peasants and horses. One of the peasants screams out…
Speak with the frightened man
See what put the living fear into this poor guy by speaking to him.
Look for Ishikawa north of Kawamata Village
Head northwest along the road, then either climb up the steep cliff face or go around it to eventually come across Ishikawa in a spot of bother.
Defeat the Mongols attacking Ishikawa
There are a bunch (around 5 or 6) of archers attacking Ishikawa. These guys are the easiest to kill and should take just one sword slash, so make quick work of them to rescue your friend.
Climb up the watchtower
Head up the watchtower in this area…
Speak with Ishikawa
And speak with the sensei.
Go to the ambush site with Ishikawa
Ride west with Ishikawa along the straight road until you reach a burning convoy.
Investigate the remains of the convoy
Investigate the bodies on the floor by the fire, the dead body and message tied to the post and the blood trail to the right of it.
Go to the ambush site with Ishikawa
Resume this objective, heading up the hill eastwards before taking a sharp left turn up a steeper hill following the footprints. Dismount and follow the sensei up the hill and around to another camp with a tied up woman.
Free the woman
Do the good deed… for all the good it does.
Survive the ambush by Tomoe’s archers
You’re a bit of a sitting duck down here with around 8 archers firing at you from above, so make sure to be dodging frequently and always on the move. You’re best off using your Explosive Arrows or Fire Arrows to take each archer down quickly and allow you to move again and dodge fire. There’s plenty of ammo around so don’t worry about missing shots.
Speak with Ishikawa
When they’re all down, talk with the sensei by the campfire.
