From The Darkness is a main tale in Ghost of Tsushima. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the From The Darkness Main Quest.
From The Darkness is unlocked when you’ve completed The Fate of Tsushima.
Main Tale: From The Darkness
Act: 2

Requirement: Complete ‘The Fate of Tsushima‘
Rewards: Ghost Armor, Ghost Mask
Mission Info: The first day of battle ended in a bloody stalemate. Lord Shimura insists on pressing forward at dawn, but I know there’s another way.
Objectives:
- Speak with Yuna
- Infilitrate the first keep of Castle Shimura
- Eliminate the Mongols in the first keep.
- Survey the Mongol defences
- Sneak through the garden
- Poison the Mongol’s fermented milk
- Enter the main keep to confront the Khan
- Duel with Ryuzo
Starting Location: From The Darkness
Speak with Yuna
Speak to Yuna who is standing next to a highly convenient crack in the wall.
Infilitrate the first keep of Castle Shimura
Firstly, you have the secondary objective of not being able to raise the alarm in this mission. You must stealth.
Before that, time for some platforming. Head down the rocks to your right, then grapple swing twice and head over the log. Jump to the next grapple and climb up. Jump to the ledges and the cliffside and work your way around, climbing and grappling as you go. Eventually, you’ll reach the keep and a window.
Eliminate the Mongols in the first keep.
Don’t go through the window yet, a Mongol lurks! Wait for him to walk back down the corridor, jump through and then use 
to chain assassinate both him and the Mongol in the far room. Climb the ladder in this room and quickly take out the Mongol in here.
Now, use your Focused Hearing with the 
as there are two Mongols above you and they will see you if you climb the ladder too quickly. Wait for them to go to the sides, then climb up, assassinate the one on the left and then the archer to the right.
Survey the Mongol defenses
Head to the north-east corner of this tower and complete the survey scene. There are four things to survey, with three off to Jin’s left.
Sneak through the garden
Jump down to the rooftop below, then take the slackline across to an archer tower. Assassinate him, then take another slackline across and jump down behind the small shed. Use your Focused Hearing to see when the Mongols aren’t looking, then sneak through the small crack nearby.
Poison the Mongol’s fermented milk
Stay in the tall grass and sneak forward to a stone wall. Assassinate the shield Mongol, then climb up a hay bale, onto the roof of the circular tent and run across the slackline and a plank. Wait on the top of this next circular tent for a Mongol to appear below you, then jump to aerial assassinate him.
You should be near the milk now, so throw a firecracker back towards where you came to distract the patrol near the milk. Once they’re not looking, creep up to the milk and press 
to poison the first batch. Then, turn around and wait for the Mongol near the second batch to turn around. Sneak up and either just poison the milk, or kill him and then do it.
Enter the main keep to confront the Khan
Well, that went well! Walk right on ahead to the keep unmolested and open the door.
Duel with Ryuzo
Time for a boss battle! This works just the same as any other duel that you’ve done many times before. Dodge Ryuzo’s attacks with the red light with 
and either parry or dodge the ones with a blue light. Regular attacks can be parried too. Patience and countering in Stone Stance is by far your best method of whittling his health down, but feel free to use Dance of Wrath to really hit him where it hurts. On easier difficulties, you can spam this three times to instantly defeat him without effort.
