Ghost of Tsushima The Warrior’s Code Walkthrough

July 16, 2020 by Jack McBastard Leave a Comment

The Warrior’s Code is a main tale in Ghost of Tsushima. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Warrior’s Code Main Quest.

The Warrior’s Code is unlocked when you’ve completed the Prologue and entered the open world.

Main Tale: The Warrior’s Code
Act:
 1 – Rescue Lord Shimura
Region:
 Izuhara
Quest Giver: Yuna
Requirement: Finish the Prologue
Rewards: Major Legend Increase, Assassination, Focused Hearing
Mission Info: Yuma is searching for her brother, a blacksmith named Taka who has been captured by the Mongols. She has tracked him to a prison camp near the Kaneda inlet. That’s where we’ll rescue him. For Yuna’s sake, I hope he’s survived this long.

Objectives:

  • Find Yuna south of Kechi fishing village
  • Speak with Yuna
  • Reach an overlook by the Mongol prison camp
  • Survey the Mongol prison camp
  • Find the gap near the camp’s gate
  • Squeeze through the fence cap
  • Stab the Mongol in the back
  • Follow the bear tracks with your uncle
  • Help your uncle inspect the carcass
  • Use Focused Hearing to sense the Mongol guards.
  • Find Taka
  • Open the cage
  • Speak with the prisoner
  • Regroup with Yuna outside the camp
  • Travel with Yuna to leave the camp

Starting Location: The Warrior’s Code

Find Yuna south of Kechi fishing village

You will complete his objective when you get near to the starting point of the mission.

Speak with Yuna

When you reach Yuna, simply speak with her to complete this objective.

Reach an overlook by the Mongol prison camp

Travel with Yuna to the waypoint and you’ll reach an overlook, from which you can survey the camp.

Survey the Mongol prison camp

At the overlook, press  :r2: when prompted to go into a survey mode where you’ll identify points of interest on the camp below you. White arcs will show the direction to each point of interest, contracting into a circle as you get closer. When prompted to, press  :x: to trigger Jin to make comments about what he sees. After the first two points of interest, a third will appear for survey. This will be a gap in the front wall that will allow you to sneak into the camp that evening.

Find the gap near the camp’s gate

Cross the river and follow the waypoint to locate the gap.

Squeeze through the fence gap

Approach the gap, then press :r2: when prompted to squeeze through. This will trigger a cinematic and unlock the assassination ability for Jin.

Stab the Mongol in the back

Everybody knows that the right way to guard a gate is to stand outside the walls and face inwards. Be sure that you’re crouched using the :r3: button, then sneak up behind this guard and ruin his day. This will trigger a flashback to Jin’s training as a boy, learning how to hunt.

Follow the bear tracks with your uncle

Approach the bear tracks at the waypoint and press :r2: to examine the tracks. Then follow the tracks and the trail of blood until you find the wounded bear.

Help your uncle inspect the carcass

Uh oh. Looks like someone else beat you to the bear. Move close and press :r2: to examine the corpse when prompted, which will trigger another cinematic and end the flashback.

Use Focused Hearing to sense the Mongol guards

When prompted, press the :tp: to activate Focused Hearing. This is very useful to locate all the enemies in the area, even through walls.

Find Taka

Use Focused Hearing now to find and murder everything in the camp. Honor is fine and all, but you know what assassination has? Safety. When everything in the camp is dead, follow the path to the tent at the top of the hill. Behind the tent is a cage with a prisoner in it, but as you approach Yuma sees that it isn’t Taka.

Open the cage

Move up to the cage and hold :r2: when prompted to jimmy the lock.

Speak with the prisoner

After opening the cage, move close to the prisoner then press :r2: when prompted to speak with him.

Regroup with Yuna outside the camp

Before you leave the camp, make sure to kill the Mongol in the large round tent next to the cage, and pick up the record and the Mongol artifact. The follow the waypoint to another gap in the fence and meet Yuna.

Travel with Yuna to leave the camp

Follow Yuna to the waypoint to trigger another cinematic. At the end, you will have earned the trophy Point of No Return and completed the mission.

This finishes The Warrior’s Code quest in Ghost of Tsushima.
