Wax Wood in Ghost of Tsushima is used to craft high-level Bow Upgrades. It’s one of the rarest materials in the game. Wax Wood is found while climbing Shinto Shrines and bought from Trappers. Visit any Bowyer to upgrade your Bow. The other wooden materials (Bamboo, Yew Wood) grow commonly everywhere in the wild.
Here’s How to Get Wax Wood:
- Wax Wood is found on the paths leading up to the Shinto Shrines (climbing sections). Be sure to collect these thoroughly while visiting the Shinto Shrines (a type of Collectible that involves long climbing sections up some mountains).
- Wax Wood can also be bought from Trappers in exchange for Supplies (for example, the one in 3rd Region at Jogaku Temple).
