Ghosts From The Past is a main tale in Ghost of Tsushima. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Ghosts From The Past Main Quest.
Ghosts From The Past is unlocked when you’ve completed A New Horizon.

Mission Info: I haven’t been home since the invasion. It’s time I return to Omi Village and recover my father’s armor, if it hasn’t been stolen by Mongols or bandits already. I hope my people managed to evacuate for safety. Especially Yuriko, my family’s caretaker.

- Go with Yuriko
- Visit your father’s grave
- Compose a haiku
- Put on your father’s armor
- Challenge the Straw Hats
- Speak with Yuriko
- Go with Yuriko
- Travel to the old crossing
- Collect the reeds
- Return to Yuriko
- Follow Yuriko
- Gather the flowers
- Poison a Straw Hat with your blowgun
- Return to Yuriko
Starting Location: Ghosts From The Past
Look for your father’s armor
Start the quest by heading to Jin’s ancestral home in Omi Village. Upon entering the house, a cutscene will play.
Go with Yuriko
Follow your caretaker, Yuriko, through the house, out into the garden and up some steps to the cemetery.
Visit your father’s grave
Head down the steps in front of you, then go right through the cemetery and down some more steps towards the huge blossom tree.
Compose a haiku
Now you can compose a haiku, just as you do around the map. Which options you pick doesn’t matter, but it does count as one of the 19 Haiku collectibles automatically.
Put on your father’s armor
Head back to the house the way you came. Once you reach the entrance hall an important cutscene will play.
Challenge the Straw Hats
The game just couldn’t let us have one mission without having to kill people…
Some Straw Hat swordsmen will now approach. Press 
and elect to Standoff, since your new armor extends your Standoff streak by one and also Terrifies other enemies if you win. You can also fight the enemies normally if you wish. There are only 3.
Speak with Yuriko
Turn around to speak with Yuriko on the steps of the house.
Go with Yuriko
Now follow her down some steps towards the lake for another cutscene.
Travel to the old crossing
We’re off to get some reeds. Head off to the south-east and you’ll come across a Mongol outpost that we have to liberate. Why can’t things just be simple?
Collect the reeds
The reeds are located in the Kishibe Village, which will either be a Mongol Territory or liberated already depending on how much you explored prior to this mission. Just ignore the enemies and head straight for the reeds under a bridge on the river.
Return to Yuriko
Travel back to Yuriko (either ride or fast travel) and speak to her.
Follow Yuriko
Still the mission goes on. We have a long, linear ride along a road to Kubara Forest until we finally get to a campsite.
Gather the flowers
We have to collect three flowers. The first bunch is just to the right of the fire, up a small hill. The second is at the back of the campfire circle, the opposite end from where you came in, whilst the third is just to the left of where you entered. Once done, talk to Yuriko.
Poison a Straw Hat with your blowgun
Time to use your new toy. Aim at one of the Straw Hats below and hit them with a dart. They’ll violently throw up and then die, completing the objective.
Return to Yuriko
Go back to Yuriko and speak to her to finish this mission.
This finishes the Ghosts From The Past quest in Ghost of Tsushima.
