Starting Location: The Broken Blacksmith

Meet Yuna at  her friend’s home in southern Azamo

Follow the waypoint to the home of Kenji, a shifty merchant friend of Yuna. Enter the house to begin the mission.

Wait while Kenji packs up his sake cart

Kenji’s awesome plan is to sneak you into the Mongol prison camp by hiding you and Yuna in his sake cart and hoping for the best. Personally this sounds like a terrible plan, but I guess that’s why they pay you the big bucks.

Travel with Kenji and Yuna

Walk with Kenji and Yuna ahead of the cart, but be aware of another constant objective…

Do not draw any unwanted attention

You’re gonna see some stuff that’s going to make you want to kill some folk. Take my advice: don’t.

Hide in Kenji’s sake cart

Eventually you will run into a Mongol patrol. Kenji will tell you to hide in the cart, so move to the back of the cart and press :r2: when prompted.

Remain hidden until you reach Azamo Bay

Basically just look around and wait until you are inside the walls. Eventually you will get a short cinematic and then move on to the next objective.

Do not raise the alarm

This objective will be in place until you escape from Azamo Bay, so move carefully.

Follow Yuna

Yuna will lead you along a mostly safe path, and meet you on the roof of a building overlooking the town.

Survey the path ahead

When on the roof, move to Yuna’s side press  :r2: when prompted to go into survey mode. While in survey mode, you will identify the Mongol leader who you will have to follow to find Taka.

Follow the Mongol slaver to find Taka

Be careful following the Mongol slaver, because you will have to keep him in your site while at the same time avoiding detection. Not an easy feat with so many Mongols around.  He will immediately move to the gate and out of sight. Move around the edge of the area and drop down into an alley to catch up with him on the other side.

Move from building to building to follow him, using the roofs when you can, and assassinating Mongols only when absolutely necessary to clear the path. A body that is discovered will immediately cause an alarm to be sounded, failing the mission.

Find a way through the market

Eventually you will reach a large open marketplace area, which is full of Mongols.

The easiest way is to move along the right side, killing lone Mongols who are far away from any observers, and avoiding patrols or any others that are just not in a position to see you pass.

There will be a guard with a torch patrolling between a building and the outer wall of the town. Hide from this guard until he is moving away from you, then assassinate him and proceed.

Follow the building wall until you catch up with the slaver on the other side.

Follow the Mongol slaver to find Taka

Continue to follow the Mongol when he starts moving again. Luckily he doesn’t have far to go. He will pass through a building and lead you to Taka in a courtyard on the other side.

In a cinematic Yuna will assassinate the slaver, and reunite with Taka.

Reach the north gate of Azamo Bay

Follow Yuna and Taka until they reach the gate. At roughly the same time, a scripted event will cause the alarm to trigger and the Mongols will come looking for you.

Escape from Azamo Bay

As you reach the north gate, follow Yuna and Taka as they climb up a pile of boxes and jump over the wall.

Meet up with Kenji at the crossroads

Keep running with Yuna and Taka to your meeting point. At some point, you’ll see a Mongol patrol in the distance with a lot of guys in it. If you hide to the side of the road, they’ll all run right past you with no one the wiser.

Keep moving towards the objective marker, avoiding patrols by hiding in the grass and moving when safe.

Eventually you will hear hoofbeats, and think that your luck has just run out. But no, its just Kenji bringing your horses to help your escape.

Ride with your allies

All that’s left is to follow your allies down the road, and engage in witty banter to complete the mission.

This finishes The Broken Blacksmith main quest in Ghost of Tsushima.
