Ghost of Tsushima The Cost of Fear Walkthrough

The Cost of Fear is a side tale in Ghost of Tsushima. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the The Cost of Fear Side Quest.

Side Tale: The Cost of Fear
Act: 3
Region: Kamiagata
Quest Giver: Sick Man in Jogaku
Requirement: having completed Honor and Ash
Rewards: Minor Legend Increase, Minor Stealth Charm, +8 Leather
Mission Info: I found a man dying in the snow of Jogaku. Not from the cold, but from poison. Likely the same poison I put in the hands of our enemy. As he died, the man said his family was also poisoned at their nearby home. I can’t let them suffer the same fate.

Objectives:

• Speak with the Sick Man
• Reach the Poisoned Family
• Travel to the Camp
• Look for Supplies (0/3)
• Return to the Cabin
• Defeat the Mongols
• Speak with the Woman

Starting Location: Forest of Jogaku, Jogaku

Speak with the Sick Man

Fast travel to the Fox Den north of the mission’s starting location if you’ve already found it and then head south of the Fox Den to find a Sick Man you must speak with.

Reach the Poisoned Family

After talking to the man, follow the trail that goes uphill to reach the cabin of the poisoned family. When you get there, interact with the barricaded door.

Travel to the Camp

Now head to your next tale marker to reach the camp where you can find medicine and food for the woman. If you’ve already liberated it from enemies, you can simply get in to pick up what you need.

Look for Supplies (0/3)

When you enter the camp, you’ll see three different pick-up markers. Simply interact with each one of them to pick up each supply.

Return to the Cabin

Now that you have everything you need, make way for the cabin.

Defeat the Mongols

Upon reaching the cabin, you should see some Mongols, each of which has a different attack weapon, allowing you to switch between each Stance.

Speak with the Woman

After getting rid of the Mongols, approach the woman on the ground to start a talk.

This finishes The Cost of Fear quest in Ghost of Tsushima.
