Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor is the 44th main story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor Main Quest including all Gold Medals for 100% completion.
Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor is unlocked after completing The Joys of Civilization.
Quest Giver: Dutch
Chapter: 4
Region: Lemoyne
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Encounter the dog and the drunk
- Don’t get spotted by the law
- Complete within 10 minutes 40 seconds
- Get 4 headshots
Starting Location: St Denis, Lemoyne
Meet with Angelo Bronte
- GOLD MEDAL: Complete within 10 minutes 40 seconds
Meet up with Dutch and John in the park across from Bronte’s mansion. You will walk across the street with Dutch advising John to remain calm, and let Dutch do the talking.
Like I said before, Dutch is a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ kinda guy.
You’re led inside, and after a tense initial meeting, you eventually get down to business. Angelo Bronte will give you Jack back, but he asks you to perform a task for him in return to compensate for the expense he has incurred due to the destruction of the liquor business in Lemoyne. Arthur and John will head into the nearby cemetery to catch some grave-robbers who have been raiding the area. Remember your time limit!
Find the Grave-Robbers
- GOLD MEDAL: Encounter the dog and the drunk
As soon as you enter the graveyard, you’ll start to hear the dog yelping. From the entrance, go straight east, and turn right at the domed structure in the middle.
Go south until you enter the yellow target area. Looks like it was just a dog. Keep looking!
Continue east down the main path until you hear someone to the north. Head off the path and into the yellow target area.
Another false alarm, but enough to fill your gold medal requirements. Time for the real action.
Keep heading to the east, and eventually you will hear the sound of crumbling rock to the northeast.
Head towards the mausoleum and you’ll kick the door in with John.
And immediately get into a firefight from the opposite direction.
- GOLD MEDAL: Get 4 headshots
Go into Dead Eye immediately, and you might get lucky with a couple early headshots while the robbers panic.
Time is a factor here, and while accuracy is not important, you do have to get four headshots on four grave-robbers so Dead Eye will be your best tool. If you do not get four head shots here, it will complicate your escape later in the mission. Once all four are dead, you will have to loot the robbers stash to bring back to Bronte.
Immediately after picking up the stash, you will hear police whistles in the distance.
Follow John to the Exit
- GOLD MEDAL: Don’t get spotted by the law
John checks the gate to the south, but it is locked. Follow John to the exit.
Along the way, you may have to hide from the law, depending on your timing and the position of any bodies. If you didn’t rack up 4 head shots against the grave-robbers, you will have to make up the difference with throwing knives against police officers which could make your escape more challenging.
Follow John, who will advise you when a police officer is close and you need to hide. Keep up with him if you want to escape in the shortest possible time while avoiding capture. You must not be spotted to complete the final gold medal requirement.
Flee the cemetary and get back to your horses, then head back to Bronte’s mansion immediately.
You will meet Dutch and Jack in the yard out front, and everything appears to be fine. Mount up and follow Dutch back to camp.
He’s already talking about his next moves and the connections that Angelo Bronte can provide. Abigail will rush out to greet Jack, and a long cinematic will play including some awkward male bonding between Arthur and John to complete the mission.
This finishes Angelo Bronte, A Man of Honor main mission in Red Dead Redemption 2. Now the next quest The Gilded Cage starts.
Next Up: The Gilded Cage

Francesco Petti says
you should mention that the gold is impossible in this mission, would have saved me some hours since you acted as if it was
Iamleeroy says
Not even remotley impossible. Follow Pettis guide below and it’s easy. Managed to do it on replay even faster than he did. Of course all the credit is his.
Francesco Petti says
Ok it’s always me, after a bit of digging i gotta say that your advice to follow John when going out of the cemetary leads to failing the 10:40 target always even when shooting down all the enemies with dead eye in 20 seconds.
I made another attempt by running out of my own so that you can cut off some more time and this is my attempt

basically you gotta run following the wall on the left of the exit john tries to open till you meet 2 guards, wait for one of them to move and then continue running to the entrance. when the 2 guards at the entrance split you jump over the tombs and are out of the cemetary, john teletrasports nearby and tada you got a chance to run for the 10:40…if you look at my video you can see final cutscene starts at 10:38 so that was pretty close aswell
Iamleeroy says
Thanks mate, really helped.
Jackobite says
Threw a like to your video Petti, vile mission timer but I got the gold thankyou.
Acwrig2 says
Issue I’m having is the 5th robber never spawn when I kill the first four. I’ve tried reloading and restarting and every single time John will say to get after him. I’ve spent over 20min combing that graveyard and the 5th guy never shows up.

This is also the mission that will allow you to play as Arthur in New Austin. Basically you have to get caught by law enforcement.
Roy says
Beside what Francesco said, you can save some more time by not waiting John after you escape from the tomb (he will catch up, no worries). Also when you get out of the house, you can ride the horse a few steps ahead than Dutch will catch up and save you a few seconds.
Van says
no too far ahead though as dutch will be abandoned like a little child
Sam says
Where the hell is this drunk? I’ve done this mission 6 times and I never hear or see him anywhere before I trigger the graverobbers.
Sam says
Same. This mission is infuriating

Some more tips: in the cemetery part searching for the robbers, spam the jump/hop button to move faster. During the escape without getting noticed by outlaws part, use a throwing knife from a distance to take out the Lawman inspecting the body to save time waiting for him to talk and walk away..
