Red Dead Redemption 2 All Gang Hideout Locations

November 1, 2018 by PowerPyx 11 Comments

Red Dead Redemption 2 has 6 Gang Hideout Locations. The RDR2 Gang Hideouts are needed for 100% Game Completion, this guide will show you where to find them. Four are automatically from the story. After reaching the Epilogue you can find two more hideouts in the state of New Austin in the southern half of the map. The Ultimate and Special Edition of RDR2 also include one bonus gang hideout called Twin Rocks, but in the Standard Edition you won’t find a gang there.

4 Automatic Gang Hideouts from Story

4 of 6 Gang Hideouts are unmissable from story main missions. So just play through the game and don’t even worry about these, there is no way to miss them:

  1. Six Point Cabin: Automatically in Chapter 2
  2. Shady Belle: Automatically in Chapter 3
  3. Beaver Hollow: Automatically in Chapter 5
  4. Hanging Dog Ranch: Automatically in Chapter 6′

2 Additional Gang Hideouts after Story

After reaching the Epilogue you will gain access to the southern part of the map, the state of New Austin. Here you can find the last two hideouts.

Thieves Landing

This is on the eastern edge of New Austin, by a river connected to Flat Iron Lake.

Fort Mercer

Fort Mercer is found in Big Bravo sub-region near the middle of New Austin.

1 Bonus Hideout for Special / Ultimate Edition

Twin Rocks

If you own the Special or Ultimate Edition of RDR2 you can find a gang at Twin Rocks in the north of New Austin. If you go there with standard edition only some normal strangers will spawn which don’t count as a “gang”.

And there you have 6 Gang Hideouts total (7 with special or ultimate edition). Be sure to kill all enemies in the New Austin ones to make them count. If done correctly, it will check off the “Gang Hideouts” in your 100% Completion Checklist.

Very helpful as always with powerpyx but what about the gang camps? The random camps you can find of rival gangs that are recorded in the compendium for each gang? I was hoping to find a guide on those.

Finding the gang camps can be tricky but you can eventually find them all by the rising campfire smoke column. Most of the time it’s a hunter/trapper, who are usually hostile or it’s a gang camp, that’s i found them them all becasue i think they pop up in random locations, could be wrong about that tho
