Red Dead Redemption 2 Polite Society, Valentine Style Walkthrough

Polite Society, Valentine Style is the 7th main story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Polite Society, Valentine Style Main Quest including all Gold Medals for 100% completion.

Polite Society, Valentine Style is unlocked when you complete Who the Hell is Leviticus Cornwall?

Gold Medal Requirements:

• Return the lost wagon horse to its owner
• Find Karen within 45 seconds

Starting Location: Horseshoe Overlook

Ride to Valentine

Looks like the ladies are getting stir-crazy at the camp and want to join you on your trip into town. Along the way, you’ll be passed by a coach that seems to be out of control. The coach will skid to a stop and its horses will break away.

One will bolt to the North and run off into the distance.

Looks like you have to help him for that gold medal, so pull over and go talk to the driver. He asks you to help him with his runaway horse, while he takes care of the other one. Approach the white horse slowly, locking on to it and choosing the calm option when you get into range. Approach slowly, using calm continuously.

If the horse gets more agitated, stop moving and continue to calm him until his behavior improves. Once you are in range, pat the horse until it will allow you to lead it by the reins back to the coach driver.

Get back on the wagon and continue your trek. Follow the path to the waypoint once you reach Valentine, and stop the wagon in the objective area.

Follow Uncle

Climb down off the wagon and follow Uncle into the General Store. He is there for a very specific type of supplies, namely of the alcoholic variety. Once he has bought his ‘supplies’ leave the store and you’ll watch a cinematic of Arthur and Uncle sitting out in front of the store.

When Mary-Beth returns, you’ll have a short conversation and then you’ll see a man dragging Tilly into a back alley.

Save Tilly

• GOLD MEDAL: Find Karen within 45 seconds

Though the gold medal requirement is to save Karen in 45 seconds, you have to save Tilly first, so in reality it’s 45 seconds to save both Tilly and Karen. Run across the street to teach the thug some manners. Defuse the argument either through diplomacy, threats or outright violence. Once Tilly is safe, run to the front door of the hotel!

Save Karen

Run upstairs at the hotel and turn right, and try to open the second door to the right, listed as Room 2B. It’s locked so you will have to kick it in. Once inside the room, knock the guy on his ass to save Karen. Lead Karen outside to the wagon.

Chase the Man from Blackwater

Just as things seem to be under control, someone recognizes you from the failed job in Blackwater and bolts.

You have to chase him down before he informs the authorities. “Borrow” a nearby horse and chase the witness. If you chase him long enough, he will eventually be thrown from his horse and tumble off a cliff.

You can either save the man for good reputation, or let him die for bad reputation. Either way, Arthur makes sure that he won’t be talking.

You can then return the horse to its owner, or keep it, but the mission is complete either way.
