Do Not Seek Absolution – II is the 70th main story mission in Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of Do Not Seek Absolution – II Main Quest including all Gold Medals for 100% completion.
Do Not Seek Absolution – II is unlocked after completing Do Not Seek Absolution – I, however you have to have honor level 4 of 8 for it to appear (meaning the honor bar when you press 
must be halfway to the right). It will also take some time after the end of Do Not Seek Absolution – I to appear. If you camp overnight, that should be sufficient for the waypoint to appear on your map.
Quest Giver: Edith Downes (Archie Downes)
Chapter: 6
Region: New Hanover
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Find Edith Downes within 1 minute 10 seconds
Starting Location: Annesburg, New Hanover
Save Edith
Skip the opening cinematic. Though the waypoint says Edith Downes, it is actually her son Archie that you encounter in Annesburg. It seems that she didn’t like where her son got the money, and has resumed prostitution on the streets of Annesburg. He tells you that she went off with some miner into the hills and didn’t like the looks of him. Directing you towards Willard’s Rest, its up to you to catch up to Edith and save her.
- GOLD MEDAL: Find Edith Downes within 1 minute 10 seconds
Immediately go to your horse and head northeast towards the waypoint.
Once in the yellow objective area, use Eagle Eye to pick up the scent of a horse just to the left side of the railway bridge and follow it down to the trail.
Activate Eagle Eye if it gets low to refresh your meter, but don’t get off your horse or stop galloping.
When you reach the horse you’ve been following, dismount and go to Edith in the yellow area.
After the cinematic, you will have to persuade Edith to come with you. You can select either option, as both will result in her accompanying you back to Annesburg.
Return to Archie, and watch the final cinematic.

Is there any difference in outcome if you choose “demand” instead of “ask” when prompted? I noticed that there is another little bit in Annesburg later and wondered if your choice effected that.
