Mr. Richards is the 41st main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Mr. Richards for 100% completion.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Mission Time: Complete within 10:00
- Silent Assassin: Kill 3 enemies with stealth attacks
- Can’t Touch This 2.0: Take no damage during the fight with Rocco
- Perfect Touchdown: Land the Frogger without damaging it

Go to East Los Santos
You’re working against the clock, so skip the cutscenes!
- Mission Time: Complete within 10:00
Hop in your car, or take one of the high-end cars from the lot, head to the objective marker and park.
Reach the Helipad Without Alerting Rocco
Climb over the fence to reach the back of the club, and sneak by the two workers near the cement truck while heading for the ladder to your left.
As soon as you reach the top of the ladder, you’ll see a technician working on the building’s air conditioning. Go back into stealth mode and sneak up behind him, then knock him out to start the next Gold Medal requirement:
- Silent Assassin: Kill 3 enemies with stealth attacks
Go straight ahead to another ladder, and at the top of the ladder immediately take cover behind another AC unit to avoid being seen by the other technician that bursts through a nearby door.
The technician will examine the unit you’re hiding behind, then turn around and go to the left side of the roof. As soon as he turns his back, stand up and go back into stealth mode. Creep up behind him and knock him out for another stealth attack.
Turn around and climb up on the large ventilation unit by the wall, then climb up to the roof above you.
As soon as you’ve pulled yourself up, go straight ahead and hide at the corner before another tech enters the area.
Back into stealth mode to sneak up behind him for another takedown, making stealth attack number three. Afterwards, climb the staircase to the roof where the helicopter is waiting. Approach it to trigger a cinematic, which you should skip.
Defeat Rocco
The strategy is essentially the same as the fistfight in “Complications” where you fought Simeon, with a similar Gold Medal requirement:
- Can’t Touch This 2.0: Take no damage during the fight with Rocco
While holding 
/ 
to dodge, wait for Rocco to throw a punch, then immediately after Michael dodges, hit 
/ 
twice to counterattack. Only throw two punches for safety, since Rocco can sometimes interrupt the third attack in a combo. Repeat this for the safest method to defeat Rocco without risk of damage. Alternately if you want a faster, riskier method, if you attack fast enough at the beginning of the fight you can usually get in the first combo and land a full three hits. If he doesn’t immediately attack, combo again to keep him staggered. If he starts to attack, you can either dodge or take a chance and try kicking with 
/ 
to interrupt his attack. This is much riskier, but eliminates the time you spend waiting for Rocco to attack you. After Rocco is knocked out, skip the cinematic and get in the helicopter.
Change Milton and Anton’s Minds by Flying Erratically
Now that you have a captive audience, convince Milton and Anton to return to work by weaving back and forth roughly, flying close to buildings, or flying under bridges. Luckily the Los Santos River is nearby with some perfect bridges to show off your piloting skill.
Go Back to the Studio
Once Milton and Anton have seen the light, head towards the studio. If you’ve been fairly efficient with the drive over and the fistfight you should have a few minutes to spare at this point, so take your time to land the helicopter to fulfill the last Gold Medal requirement:
- Perfect Touchdown: Land the Frogger without damaging it
This is actually harder than it seems, with even a slightly rough landing being considered enough to fail the requirement. For best results, kill your horizontal momentum over the landing area, descend until you’re near the ground then kill your vertical movement and let the tug of gravity set you down gently like a leaf on a pond.
Go to Solomon’s Office
Quickly run to Solomon’s office and skip the cinematic to finish the mission.
This finishes Mr. Richards in GTA V.
