Hotel Assassination is the 33rd main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Hotel Assassination for 100% completion.
NOTE: Lester’s assassination missions for Franklin are interesting money making opportunities. Though the Hotel Assassination is required to be completed during the story, as a pre-requisite for “Blitz Play“, you’re better off waiting to complete any of the subsequent assassinations until after you’ve received the payout from “The Big Score”. This will give you millions of dollars to invest in your targets’ competitors, resulting in massive windfalls as their stocks surge. But you can at least invest what you have in Betta Pharmaceuticals (BAWSAQ) before the assassination, then carefully monitor the stock price and sell when it maxxes out.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Time Taken: Time taken to complete mission*
- Sniper Kill Bonus: Kill the target using a sniper rifle
- Money Earned: Money earned from the hit**
*The Time Taken requirement doesn’t specify a time limit, if there is one at all. Testing shows that even if you take 15 minutes for this mission it will still show the Time Taken requirement as being fulfilled.
**The Money Earned requirement doesn’t seem to be possible to fail. As long as you complete the mission, this requirement will count as fulfilled.

Go to the Hotel
Lester has some side work for Franklin, and it’s a decent payout as well as an easy Gold Medal. Head over to the parkade across from the Von Crastenberg Hotel. When you reach the objective marker, you’re told that the target will arrive soon and you’ll have only 1:30 to get into position.
Assassinate the Target
Head up to level 2 at least, but better to be on level 3. You’ll have a nice view of the doors over any vehicles that happen to pull up.
The target will come out of one of three doors but the car he gets into will be in the same place each time.
Wait for him to get in the SUV and he will be stationary for a couple of seconds until his security get into the vehicle. The second last thing that went through his head was that he probably should have sprung for bulletproof windows.
The last thing to go through his head should be a bullet from your sniper rifle so that you can get the Sniper Kill Bonus Gold Medal requirement.
Leave the Area
Head down to the first level of the parkade and go out the northwest exit into the nearby alley. You’ll be far away from the scene before any kind of private security or police response.
