Tow Truck is the 31st main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Tow Truck for 100% completion.
NOTE: This is a heist prep mission for “Blitz Play“.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Mission Time: Complete within 03:00
- Not a Scratch: Deliver the Tow Truck with no damage
- Truckin’: Reach top speed in the Tow Truck

Steal the Tow Truck
You’re working against the clock, so skip the cutscenes!
- Mission Time: Complete within 03:00
Head to the auto repairs shop on Autopia Pkwy. In the lot there will be a guy working on a car next to the Tow Truck. Knock him out and steal it.
Take the Tow Truck to the FIB Lot
Next drive it to Covington Engineering, remembering the remaining Gold Medal requirements:
- Not a Scratch: Deliver the Tow Truck with no damage
- Truckin’: Reach top speed in the Tow Truck
Much the same as the Trashmaster, you’ll have to get the Tow Truck up to full speed while avoiding damage, and the easiest way to do that is to go straight up the hill outside the shop and out onto Dutch London St. Start to accelerate there while headed towards El Rancho Blvd. Following that all the way around until you reach Mirror Park, there’s several places where you can get up a good head of steam. Just watch for the cross traffic.
Pull into the FIB lot and park, then get out to end the mission.
This finishes Tow Truck in GTA V.
