Mr. Philips is the 14th main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Mr. Philips for 100% completion.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- No Survivors: Kill all fleeing bikers
- Headshots: Kill 12 enemies with a headshot
- Mission Time: Complete within 12:00
- Trailer Trashed: Cause $5000 damage to Ortega’s trailer
- Lost and Damned: Kill Terry and Clay during the chase

Get in the Truck
You’re working against the clock, so skip the cutscenes!
- Mission Time: Complete within 12:00
After the cinematic, you will have control of Trevor. Get in your truck with Ron and Wade, and pay a visit to the Lost.
Go to Grapeseed
When you reach the objective marker, skip the cutscene.
Follow the Van
Chase the van in your truck, but be ready for the next Gold Medal requirement:
- Lost and Damned: Kill Terry and Clay during the chase
Following the van will be two motorcycles being ridden by Terry and Clay. Use your drive-by weapon to kill them right away. Also, avoid driving over their bikes as you go by. Failing to do so can result in spectacular crashes (see video for painful example).
The van isn’t terribly fast, and there are a number of small shortcuts you can take along the way to catch up in case you crash. The mission is still timed however, so try to go as quickly as possible.
Eventually the van leads Trevor back to Stab City, where you’ll park and get out to handle your business.
Take Down the Bikers
While cleaning out the trailer park, remember the next two Gold Medal requirements at work in this segment:
- No Survivors: Kill all fleeing bikers
- Headshots: Kill 12 enemies with a headshot
Immediately the game reminds you about using Trevor’s special ability. Press 
+ 
/ 
+ 
to activate Trevor’s rage state which not only increases the damage his weapons do, but also makes him nigh-invulnerable, both of which are extremely helpful in this section. There are a total of 24 bikers in the park, so you will have to kill at least half of them with headshots.
Try to work from front to back as well since the park is surrounded by water on three sides, anyone who wants to flee your rampage has to go through you. First there will be a truck that tries to run you down, then two pairs of motorcycles. You will have to make sure no one escapes, so stand your ground and gun them down.
After a certain point, you’ll notice the red dots on your minimap will turn blue to indicate they are fleeing. Check your map and make sure that none of them can escape the area. If they get too far away from you, their dot will disappear off the radar and eventually they will despawn.
Return to the Truck
Get back in the truck, because Trevor’s not done yet!
Go to the Riverside Trailer
Next on Trevor’s hit list is Ortega, head of the Aztecas. Follow the objective marker until you reach the trailer and a short unskippable cinematic will play.
Push the Trailer Into the River
Hit the gas and start pushing Ortega’s trailer into the river, doing most of the heavy lifting for the next Gold Medal requirement:
- Trailer Trashed: Cause $5000 damage to Ortega’s trailer
Skip the next cinematic.
Threaten Ortega
No time for half measures! Kill him and get back in the truck.
Might as well do it with a headshot, to give you a margin for error on the Gold Medal requirement.
Go to Ron’s Place
Quickly drive to the objective marker at Ron’s place to end the mission.
This finishes Mr. Philips in GTA V.
