Military Hardware is the 47th main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Military Hardware for 100% completion.
NOTE: This is a heist prep mission for “The Paleto Score“.
Gold Medal Requirements:
- Head Hunter: Kill 5 enemies with a headshot
- Sticky Strategist: Stop the convoy using a sticky bomb trap.

Intercept the Military Hardware
A short while after finishing “Paleto Score Setup”, Michael and Trevor will get a text identifying a convoy of military hardware being shipped to Fort Zancudo. The location is variable, so use the Interaction Menu’s Quick GPS feature to get an up to date waypoint. Once you track the convoy down, get ahead and set up an ambush to get the first Gold Medal requirement:
- Sticky Strategist: Stop the convoy using a sticky bomb trap.
Put a few sticky bombs down on the road, then get behind cover and wait.
When the convoy arrives, the hardware you want is in the truck and must not be destroyed, so trigger the bombs when the leading jeep is in the blast radius.
When the soldiers get out, start racking up headshots for your second Gold Medal requirement:
- Head Hunter: Kill 5 enemies with a headshot
Between the truck and the jeep at the end of the convoy there should be enough soldiers to get all five. Afterwards, get in the truck.
Go to the Meth Lab
When you get to Liquor Ace, pull up the truck into the lockup behind the building. Then get out of the truck to end the mission.
This finishes Military Hardware in GTA V.
