Friend Request is the 9th main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Friend Request for 100% completion.

Go to the Suburban Store in Vinewood
You’re working against the clock, so skip the cutscenes!
- Mission Time: Complete within 08:30
Lester has a truly disgusting plan, and needs your help for old times sake. Leave Lester’s house and get back in your car, then head to the objective marker to get to the Suburban store. Skip the cutscene when you talk to the woman behind the counter.
Buy a Suitable Outfit
Go to the nearby rack and buy any gilet / t-shirt combo. Then get back in your car and head to your next objective.
Go to the Lifeinvader Offices
Follow the objective marker to the Lifeinvader offices, and park on the marker outside.
Go to the Rear Entrance
Climb the nearby stairs and wait by the rear entrance. You will trigger a cutscene where you convince an employee that you work in IT so you can follow him in, but unfortunately you now have to fix his computer to keep from being discovered. Skip the cutscene.
Follow the Programmer
Painfully slowly, you will be walked through the office halls towards the programmer’s desk where his virus filled computer waits.
Fix the Programmer’s Computer
This is the second Gold Medal requirement, and one that will rely somewhat on luck of the RNG.
- Popups Clear: Clear all pop-ups within 00:32
The computer has a ton of malware pop-ups on his desktop in a random configuration. Close each one by moving the mouse with 
over the X in the upper right corner of the pop-up and pressing 
/ 
on the controller. New windows will pop-up while you’re closing them, sometimes making you scroll a long time with the virtual mouse. This randomness is where you may lose time, but there is usually enough time to close all the windows and finish within the time limit. Once you have all windows closed however, you have to click on the AntEater Antivirus on the desktop, click “Scan Computer”, then once the scan is done hit “Exterminate” to complete this objective.
Rig the Prototype
Not far from the programmer’s desk is the room with the prototype. Go inside to trigger another cutscene, which you should skip.
Exit the Building
Retrace your steps, still being forced to walk at a snail’s pace as you head back to your car. Turn right as you leave the room, and head back past the imagineering room to the end of the hall. Turn right, walking through the footbag job interview, then right again to go down the stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs turn left, walk through the kitchen and through a yellow door into another hall. The exit will then be straight ahead of you at the end of the hall, with your car around the corner to the left.
Watch the Keynote at Michael’s House
Once outside, run back to your car and race back to your house. There’s no Gold Medal for avoiding vehicle damage, so feel free to trade some paint to save time. Lester will call you on the way home to fill you in on the plan. After you get inside a cinematic will trigger, which you should skip.
Find Weazel News
Change the channel using 
or :l-right:, which will switch to the Lifeinvader keynote. Jay Norris will just be taking the stage as you do.
Call Jay Norris on the Prototype Phone
Watch the conference until Jay Norris brings out the Lifeinvader mobile device. As soon as you see it, bring up your phone and look through your contacts to find “Jay Norris” and call him immediately. He will answer the phone and… that will complete the mission!
