GTA V Delivering the Truth Gold Medal Walkthrough

Delivering the Truth is a Strangers and Freaks Mission (Side Quest) in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Delivering the Truth for 100% completion.

Gold Medal Requirements:

Touchdown: Land the Velum without damaging it
Zondar the Bridge: Fly under a bridge along Lago Zancudo

Meet Tom

Driving on the trail that runs around Fort Zancudo towards your meeting point, you’ll see that your way is blocked by an aircraft that has landed in the road. Nearby stands Tom in his smart Epsilon Program v-neck to give Michael his orders: deliver the plane to Jimmy Boston at the Sandy Shores airfield. Seems legit.

Deliver the Plane to the Airfield

Luckily the Velum doesn’t need much speed to take off, so you don’t have to worry about snagging your wings on any tree branches.

Lift off and retract your landing gear, then if you want to knock out the first Gold Medal requirement right away, bank to the south:

Zondar the Bridge: Fly under a bridge along Lago Zancudo

Right at the mouth of Lago Zancudo the Great Ocean Highway runs over a long bridge. It’s lower than some of the other bridges, but the openings are much wider than most. Line up and fly under the bridge, then continue to follow Lago Zancudo to the east.

If you miss it, you’ll pass at least two other bridges on the way to Sandy Shores. Any of these will count towards the Gold Medal.

When you get closer to Sandy Shores airfield, remember the second Gold Medal requirement.:

Touchdown: Land the Velum without damaging it

Maneuver in advance to line up with the airstrip, then reduce your altitude till you’re cruising just above the telephone poles and lower your landing gear.

After the last telephone poles, pitch down slightly and use your rudder to ensure you’re headed straight down the runway. You’re going to want to come in just over the barrier wall at the end of the runway, then let the plane return to level flight. Slowly depress the / to reduce airspeed and ever so gently drift to the ground.

Taxi down the runway, using the / and / to steer using your rudder. When you approach the hangar, you’ll see Jimmy Boston’s dot appear on the minimap.
