Breach of Contract is a Strangers and Freaks Mission (Side Quest) in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Breach of Contract for 100% completion.

- Dirty Rat: Kill Josh before escaping
- Hot Pursuit: Escape in the parked police cruiser

- Location: Rockford Hills / West Eclipse Boulevard
- Quest Giver: Josh
- Requirement: Complete “Surreal Estate“
- Can Be Started By: Trevor
Find Josh at His Burned-Down House
As you approach Josh, you’ll see that he’s giving a report to two cops while saying some slanderous (and some true) things about Trevor. They will pull their guns on you, and you’ll get a two star wanted level! Having no faith in the legal system, Trevor will have to take matters into his own hands.
Lose the Cops
Immediately going into Trevor’s rage special ability, you can shoot the cops first if you’re quick, but the real priority is Josh for the Gold Medal requirement:
- Dirty Rat: Kill Josh before escaping
Run straight through the gate, turn left and immediately gun down Josh before he can get away.
Head out the gate and jump in the police cruiser to escape for the next Gold Medal requirement:
- Hot Pursuit: Escape in the parked police cruiser
Drive away, and lose the cops using the usual evasion techniques. Leave the immediate area, don’t go down any street for more than a block or two before making a turn, and make frequent use of alleys or other unusual paths such as through a parking structure with exits on both sides. Always watch for police cars on your minimap, and stay out of their cones of vision, doubling back if needed. If there are air units, try to get under something such as a freeway, parking structure, tunnel or a building under construction, otherwise try to break their line of sight by using frequent alleys and turns in areas with tall buildings such as downtown. As soon as you lose your wanted level, the mission will immediately end.
