Grass Roots – The Drag is a Strangers and Freaks Mission (Side Quest) in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Grass Roots – The Drag for 100% completion.

- Mission Time: Complete within 01:3o
- Hooked: Keep the stash car hooked until delivery

Get in the Stash Car
You’re working against the clock, so skip the cutscenes!
- Mission Time: Complete within 01:3o
When you find the car in the junkyard, the clock will start. Get in the rusted out Emperor and press 
/ 
to try to start the car, but it just won’t start. Keep trying until Franklin gets out and calls Barry. Once he answers, you can hang up the phone.
Find a Way to Move the Stash Car
Run back to the entrance of the junkyard, where there will be a tow truck right beside the gate. Hop in and drive over to the car, backing in to get the hook to attach to its front.
Go to Barry’s Apartment
Drive straight out the front gate and follow the path to the objective marker. Don’t be afraid to smash through traffic since there’s no points for vehicle condition, and you have little time to spare.
Don’t drive too recklessly though, since there’s still the other Gold Medal requirement to worry about:
- Hooked: Keep the stash car hooked until delivery
When you reach Barry’s apartment, drive down the back alley towards the objective marker. The second you see the prompt, press 
/ 
to drop the wreck off.
Leave the Area
As you drive away, Franklin will call Barry to let him know the stash car has been dropped off. Feel free to hang up on him. Once you’re a sufficient distance away, the mission will end.
