GTA V Marriage Counseling Gold Medal Walkthrough

Marriage Counseling is the 7th main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in Marriage Counseling for 100% completion.

Not a Scratch: Complete with minimal damage to the Bison
Mission Time: Complete within 05:30
Drive-by Killer: Kill 3 enemies while in a vehicle

Get in the Truck and Follow the Tennis Coach

You’re working against the clock, so skip the cutscenes!

Time: Complete within 05:30

More family drama, this time with Amanda and her tennis coach. Jump in the Gardener’s truck and follow him as fast as you can. Don’t worry too much about damage to the vehicle at this point, as you will have a chance to repair it later.

Follow the coach through a couple of turns. The real fun begins once he crosses onto Cockingend Drive, where several vehicles will “accidentally” get in your way. The first is this SUV on the right side of the road pulling out of its driveway, followed by a car you have to pass while beating oncoming traffic.

The one that is most difficult to avoid is the Zirconium Journey camper that shoots out to entirely block the street. Unless you’re right on the coach’s tail this one will get you, but if you manage to somehow squeak by there will be one last half-hearted obstacle as a compact car will pull out on the right side of the road and Franklin will declare that “we lost his ass” even if you can still see his car.

Drive to the Canyon

Follow the road to the objective marker. Before you reach it, Michael will point out his car then the coach himself leaning over the railing on the deck of the house above. Ignore the dialogue and keep going till you hit the marker to trigger a cutscene, then skip the cutscene.

Get in the Truck and Accelerate

After the cutscene will be a short animation where Michael shouts at the coach, and ducks under the rope that connects the truck’s winch to the support beams of the very precarious house above you. As soon as you have control of Michael again, get into the truck and hit the gas to slowly pull down the house. Don’t let up until another cutscene plays, then skip the cutscene.

Go Back to Michael’s House

Follow the objective marker towards Michael’s house. As you get close, the marker will suddenly vanish and you’ll see two enemy blips on your minimap right behind you! Stop the truck, and without getting out, use the / button to ready your weapon for a drive-by and turn the camera around to shoot them before they can shoot you. Accuracy or headshots don’t matter, just make sure that you kill 3 of them before Franklin or (oncoming traffic) ruins your chances on the next Gold Medal requirement.
