The Time’s Come is the 69th and final main story mission in GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5). This walkthrough shows how to get all Gold Medals in The Time’s Come for 100% completion.
Missable Warning: It is highly recommended to pick the mission “The Third Way“ (Option “C”) for the ending to avoid missable trophies. Picking the other two endings “Something Sensible” or “The Time’s Come“ can lock you out of some trophies/achievements.

Chase Michael
Your confrontation with Michael goes awry, and he takes off. Hop in your car and follow him. You will not be able to catch up with him, and any attempts to shoot him with a drive-by weapon won’t kill him. Similarly, you won’t be able to shoot out his tires, or destroy his truck. All you have to do is stay with him as he speeds down the dirt road, then the train tracks. He will slip in front of a train going over a bridge, forcing you to follow the slower train until there’s a split in the tracks that he takes into the Palmer-Taylor Power Station.
Follow him inside, and you’ll see that he’s gotten out of his car and runs up onto the catwalk above you. Follow him!
Go to Michael’s Last Known Position
After the cinematic, Michael will continue to run down the catwalk and disappear around a corner. Keep following him and he will pop out to shoot at you. Return fire, and keep following him. He will continue to climb stairs and shoot, while you keep following.
Though you won’t be able to kill him, shooting at him causes him to run away towards your ultimate confrontation. Eventually he will climb a tall ladder to a catwalk around a tall smokestack.
Climb up for the final showdown.
While this may seem like a choice, there’s still a Gold Medal requirement to consider:
- Surpassed the Mentor: Kill Michael
In the end, Michael’s fate is out of your hands. Watch the ending cinematic to complete the mission, and the game. Once the credits are done, and you receive your psychiatric evaluation from Dr. Friedlander, you’ll load back into the game, and you’ll be able to complete the other two finale missions in the pause menu under “Game” > “Replay Mission”.
