GTA V All Knife Flight Locations

GTA V (Grand Theft Auto 5) contains 15 Knife Flight Locations. Finishing all 15 Knife Flights and all 50 Under the Bridge challenges unlocks the Close Shave trophy & achievement. Finishing half of them is also required for 100% Completion.

Knife Flight Tips

Get a fighter jet from Ford Zancudo. You can complete all 15 Knife Flights with it. You’ll have to drive through the gate, then hop out of your car near one of the planes on the tarmac and take off before you get shot.
It’s easier if you can max out the “Flying” statistic of one of your characters by completing the Flight School first, if you have it unlocked (they will teach you how Knife Flights work, too!) Otherwise, you can rack up skill just by flying, since you will increase 1% for every 10 minutes you fly, and an additional 1% for every time you fly under a bridge.
If you find the jet difficult to maneuver because it’s going too fast, try keeping your landing gear down. The additional drag will slow down your normal cruising speed, giving you more time to react at the expense of lift.
You also may want to use your rudders to keep your nose level while rolled on your side, for example if you are on your left side, use your right rudder to compensate.
You should make a quick save when you get an approach that you’re satisfied with. That way you can reload if you crash and be right back in the cockpit and in position to try again immediately.
Finally, if your jet gets massively damaged, you can use the quick save and immediately reload the game. The aircraft will automatically be repaired when loading the save game.

Knife Flight Locations

Knife Flight #1
Watch for the billboard between the buildings, and avoid catching it with your wing as you go by.

Knife Flight #2

Knife Flight #3, 4, & 5

Knife Flights #3, #4, #5 are all accomplished in one continuous pass. Start in the east near the overpass and follow the path. First pass between the IAA and FIB building, rolling 90 degrees to your left for #3.

Stay rolled left 90 degrees and pass to the left of the Union Depository building, letting your nose drift down a little. You’re about to get #4 & #5 back to back.

When you’re at the right height, apply some right rudder to level out and pass between the square Corporate & Investment Banking and the Gruppe 6 buildings for number #4.

Finally, stay rolled on your left side and pitch down a little bit for the final pass between the Tinkle and Arcadius Business Center buildings for #5.

Knife Flight #6 & #7

You’ll also get #6 & #7 on the same pass. Approach from the south, avoiding the crane.

Stay rolled on your side until you’re all the way through and they’ll pop one right after another.

Knife Flight #8
This can be a little tight, so you may want to lift your gear for this one. Just stay near the top of the passage so you can avoid the building on the other side.

Knife Flight #9

Knife Flight #10
This is a tight fit and a challenging recovery after passing between the buildings. If you get credit for the Knife Flight but crash your aircraft afterwards, you may want to take the win and find a new plane.

Knife Flight #11, #12
Another twofer for #11 & #12. Line up on the black building, then roll on your left side and pass between the first two buildings. Stay on your left side and pass between the next two buildings then immediately pull up to avoid the last building.
