Borderlands 4 contains 340 collectible locations. For trophies/achievements, only the 9 Vault Fragments and 3 Primordial Vaults are needed.
You can keep track of collectible progress by hovering over a region on the map and pressing Square (PS5) / X (Xbox) / F (PC). You can also filter the map for specific icons by pressing D-Pad Right (PS5/XB) / B (PC).
Collectible icons get marked on the map when going near them. The ones you haven’t found are marked blue, and the ones you have found are green.
Some collectibles are in areas that require story progress, and some are exclusively obtained as part of Side Missions. The ones from Side Missions you will either pick up automatically from the mission objectives, or you will gain access to a new area that you can return to later. The best approach is to finish all Missions and Activities first, grab whatever you find. Then clean up the collectibles after.
There’s still free-roam after the story so nothing is missable. Side Missions can also be replayed through the mission replay menu.

I just want to clarify, I don’t need to collect things like the Dead Bolts, Echo logs, Lost Capsules, Speakers, etc…? Just the 9 Vault Fragments & 3 Vaults for the trophies?
If that’s the case then you posted all the various collectables just to be helpful for people interested in collecting them (which they do give SDU points to upgrade various carrying capacity). Huge thanks for doing that.
Though please let me know about the non-vaoult related collectables, I’ve been spending (wasting lol) time collecting those logs & running back with the bolts (since you can’t ride with them) & would love not to anymore!!
PowerPyx says
Correct, you only need the Vault Key Fragments. The rest isn’t needed for trophies.

After following this guide I only have 153 out of 155 and I checked everywhere, every fast travel and every area but it’s saying all collectables for said areas is good. Any help or advice on what to do?
