A Call for Help is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Call for Help Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Terminus Range > The Low Leys
- Quest Giver: Restless Arwa
- Unlock Requirement: Complete Main Mission 14: His Vile Sanctum + Side Mission: Meat is Murder where you learn about Grin Reaper
- Reward: Shotgun (Green to Purple), XP, Money, Eridium
- Quest Description: A simple search and rescue job… right?

Starting Location: A Call for Help
To start this mission, speak with Restless Arwa in Belton’s Bore near the contract board after completing Main Mission 14: His Vile Sanctum + Side Mission: Meat is Murder.
Follow Restless Arwa
Follow Arwa nearby to where she has her transponder.
Scan Arwa’s transponder
Interact with the device on the box to have ECHO-4 clone it for yourself.
Find Quiet Limos
Your goal is to find Quiet Limos, so head out of the area and then northeast to the marked location.
Optional: Search for signs of Limos (x2)
Once you enter the cave you can complete some optional searches. Immediately on the right jump up the ledge and interact with the open box.
Turn around and interact with one of the dead Manglers to complete the optional objective.
Search for Transponder
Turn around and then follow the path past the boxes, up the ledge and left.
Kill mangler
As you approach the area, a marked mangler will appear that seems to have eaten the transponder. Deal with it and any other that appear.
Take transponder
After it’s dealt with, pick up the transponder off the ground where it was dropped by the enemy.
Search for next transponder
You’re now heading further northeast near Checkpoint Taupe.
Take transponder
Head east down the edge of the wall where there is a platform you can grapple to. Enter the vent and follow the path to the right to find the transponder.
Search for next transponder
Now you’re heading northwest near Shadowed Reverie.
Search base
Head into the base area and deal with any enemies. Grapple to the roof, then interact with the computer on the left of the door to open it.
Defend ECHO-4
More enemies will spawn in, deal with them while ECHO-4 opens the door.
Take transponder
Once the enemies are dealt with, grapple back up and pick up the transponder from inside the room.
Search for next transponder
Now head a short distance southwest to the next transponder location.
Deactivate force field
Head into the cave and defeat any enemies, then go up near the force field. You then need to stomp on the two red buttons on either side, and then shoot the glowing heads on the pillars to deactivate it.
Take Limo’s final transponder
Head into the room and pick up the final transponder from beside the body on the cart.
Optional: Search area
You can interact with the two items on the table on the right for an optional objective.
Examine effigy
To continue, examine the head on the spike beside Limo’s body.
Find Arwa
Now exit the cave and go northwest and enter the next cave.
Deactivate force field
In the main room of the cave you’ll need to repeat the same steps as before to deactivate the force field: stomp the switches then shoot the heads on pillars, then enter the room to find Arwa.
Reach Arwa’s transponder
You’ll now need to head all the way down to the southwest corner of the map to the Coastal Bonescape area to find Arwa’s transponder, located near the Fishin’ Spot.
When you arrive there will be Rippers around the area, deal with any present then drop down the large hatch in front of the house.
Optional: Search for Arwa’s transponder
Right when you enter the bunker, you can pick up Arwa’s transponder from a cart on the right.
Optional: Search bunker
In the bunker you can interact with three more items: the cups on the counter, the drink machine on the left, and around the corner the projector by the chair.
Identify killer
Continue into the next room and interact with the board immediately on the right.
Reach Launchpad
You can fast travel nearby to The Launchpad.
Find frogurt stand
Head outside and in the middle of the area you can find the frogurt stand.
Reach barn
Go west from the stand to reach the barn on the edge of town.
Search for froyo guy
Go up to the barn and interact with the switch on the table to open the door.
Kill deranged Augers
Enemies will run out of the barn, deal with them to continue.
Kill froyo guy
After the first wave of enemies, the froyo guy will come out to attack you as well. Deal with him and all remaining enemies to complete the mission.
