Star-Crossed is a side mission in Borderlands 4 DLC #1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Star-Crossed Side Quest.
- DLC required: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned
- Starting Location: Kairos > The Whispering Glacier > Crooked Teeth
- Quest Giver: Dr. Stein
- Unlock Requirement: having finished Main Quest 4: What Lies Dreaming
- Reward: Money, XP, Grenade (Green or Blue rarity), Cosmetic: ECHO-4 Skin
- Quest Description: Their bounty is as boundless as the sea. Their love is deep. But one of them doth lie in scattered pieces. Must these violent delights have violent ends?
Objectives:
- Find legs
- Clear out Dahl soldiers
- Choose beefy legs OR original legs
- Find torso
- Find keycard
- Take keycard
- Unlock mech
- Pickup torso
- Find arms
- Kill threshers
- Keep killing threshers & Collect some tentacles
- Choose beefy arms OR original arms
- Return to Dr. Stein
- Rebuild Julien’s body
- Power up the machine
- Activate the machine
- Talk to Julien
Starting Location: Star-Crossed
Find legs
Follow the quest marker to an enemy camp nearby.
Clear out Dahl soldiers
Kill all enemies inside the camp.
Choose beefy legs OR original legs
Now you can choose between beefy legs or the original legs. It does not matter what you choose.
Find torso
After getting the legs, follow the quest marker to a location to the east of your current position.
Find keycard
From the torso, turn right and jump across a gap. Then turn right again, and you will soon find the keycard.
Take keycard
Just pick it up.
Unlock mech
Now head back to the mech and open it up.
Pickup torso
Then pick up the torso from inside the mech.
Find arms
Follow the quest marker to a location north of your current position.
Kill threshers
Here, kill the threshers.
Keep killing threshers & Collect some tentacles
After a while, a second wave of threshers appears. You don’t need to collect tentacles as the objective automatically fails.
Choose beefy arms OR original arms
You can now choose between beefy arms or the original arms. It does not matter what you choose.
Return to Dr. Stein
Now get back to Dr. Stein’s lab.
Rebuild Julien’s body
Place the body parts onto the machine.
Power up the machine
Now get outside and pull the lever as well as turn the wheel on top of the roof.
After that, interact with the lever on the ground near the lab.
Activate the machine
Finally, you can activate the machine.
Talk to Julien
After a little cutscene, talk to Julien.
This finishes Star-Crossed side mission in Borderlands 4.
