Damnation Encroaches is the 5th and final main mission in Borderlands 4 DLC #1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Damnation Encroaches Main Quest.
- DLC required: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned
- Starting Location: Kairos > The Whispering Glacier > The Maelstrom
- Quest Giver: Ellie
- Unlock Requirement: having finished Main Quest 4: What Lies Dreaming
- Reward: Money, XP, Assault Rifle (Green or Blue rarity), Cosmetic: Vehicle Skin
- Quest Description: Moxxi, refusing to let Ellie endanger herself further, has taken the keystone and made a dash for the megalith. Can you get there in time to save here?

Starting Location: Damnation Encroaches
Reach the megalith
Leave the destroyed ship through the broken wall on the left side and jump down to the other side from the pipe.
Reach the megalith & Kill Dahl soldiers
When you drop down, just kill the enemies.
Reach the megalith
After killing the enemies, grab the bubble before jumping to the other platform. Then jump over and throw it on the barrier to open it.
Reach the megalith & Kill reinforcements
After going through the now-open barrier, you have to kill some more waves of enemies.
Reach the megalith
Once again you have to open another barrier with the bubble.
Then follow the path.
Reach the megalith & Kill more Dahl soldiers
You will reach another place with more enemies to kill.
Reach the megalith
After killing the enemies, use the bubble to move a platform.
After some time, you will reach Moxxi, and a cutscene starts.
Enter the megalith
Once the cutscene is over, enter the big megalith in front of you.
Find Captain Willis
Follow the short path. When you reach two vending machines. Get yourself ammo and prepare for a boss fight. When you are ready, drop down the hole to start the fight.
Kill Captain Willis
To kill the captain, you have to use your grappling hook on his head after depleting all his health to kill him.
Free Moxxi
After killing the Captain, interact with the barrier to free Moxxi.
Take the keystone from Moxxi
Just pick up the keystone from Moxxi.
Open the cryo pod
Then, interact with the cryo pod nearby to trigger a cutscene, and the credits will roll after. You can skip the credits.
This finishes Damnation Encroaches in Borderlands 4.
