Borderlands 4 Ice Fishing Side Mission Walkthrough

Ice Fishing is a side mission in Borderlands 4 DLC #1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Ice Fishing Side Quest.

Find Gumpy’s hut
Listen to log
Take dynamite
Destroy ice cap
Kill Ol’ Thrash
Pick up Gumpy’s hat

Starting Location: Ice Fishing

Before you can actually start the mission, you have to get 4 Echo logs. You can get those at the beginning of the Crooked Teeth area. To get them, you have to throw dynamite into the water. There are three locations where you can do that. You have to keep an eye out for some bubbles in the water, or else you can not throw the dynamite.

When you throw the dynamite at the bubbles in the water, you will look out for the Echo logs. They will shine golden. You can grab them from the air or from the water, also. So do not worry if it drops into the water.

You do not need to get all four Echo logs in a row. You can do this in multiple settings. If you don’t see any bubbles in the water near the dynamite, just save and quit and come back. Once you have all four Echo logs, the quest appears inside the The Speakeasy bar.
