Flat Kairoser is a side mission in Borderlands 4 (BL4). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Flat Kairoser Side Quest.
- Starting Location: Terminus Range > Cuspid Climb
- Quest Giver: Skeptical Sam
- Unlock Requirement: After Main Mission 4: A Lot to Process
- Reward: EXP, Cash, Pistol (Green to Purple rarity), Vault Hunter Style (Flat as a Fritter), ECHO-4 Paintjob (Flat as a Fritter), Eridium
- Quest Description: Sam thinks Kairos is flat. Sam thinks he’s living on the edge. Sam thinks you can’t prove Kairos is round, but if you do, he swears he’ll give you a reward. It may take a global effort to get around his circular logic, but at least you’ll have a ball in the process. TLDR; Sam is out of orbit, so there’s a pretty good chance you’ll flat-out get that reward.

Starting Location: Flat Kairoser
This mission starts in the south-west of Cuspid Climb by talking to a man just west of a road. It gets marked on the map when unfogging the area.
Take flat Kairos
Take the mission object from Sam before heading anywhere.
Stomp dang globe
Look forward from where Sam was and you will see a globe. Head on top of the trailer where Sam is and jumpslam the globe.
Follow Sam
Follow Sam killing the Kratch to make him move faster.
Reach shrine
Face south from where Sam is and begin climbing up to the shrine using your grappling points. After the second grapple locate the shrine on the right side of the cliffs.
Reach wrecked ship
Head north to the Wreck of Big Carl. Once you get close you will speak to Sam and the task will change.
Collect surveying equipment (x3)
Head down into the campsite and take out all of the enemies but be careful as there are a lot of Badasses and Wildhorn being ridden by Rippers. Once everyone is defeated head toward the northwest corner where there is a porter potty and you will see the first piece of equipment to collect:
Next look into the broken building to the north to find the second piece:
From the second item grapple up to the roof of this section and jump over to the south-west to the main portion of the wrecked ship and you will find this piece near the wing:
Find suitable launch site
Head south-east to the mission marker. Scan with 
/ Z and the line will guide you there.
Place atmospheric surveyors (x3)
When you get to the spot with the mission marker you will see three glowing spots to place the mission items but you should take out all the creeps before doing so.
Activate surveyors (x3)
Once placed you will need to interact with each of them to activate them.
Find first balloon
This first balloon is a distance north, use your vehicle and head there. Once there locate the balloon stuck in the air.
Get balloon down
Shoot down the balloon and watch it fall to the ground.
Retrieve data from surveyor
Interact with the surveyor.
Find next balloon
Head to the mission marker to the west. Once at the marker you will see the balloon get shot out of the sky to the west.
Get balloon down
A backup balloon will fall behind it and you can shoot it out of the sky.
Free balloon
Head to the side of the building and grapple the balloon the rest of the way free.
Retrieve data from surveyor
Interact with the surveyor to hack the info out.
Talk to Sam
Head way up north to where Sam is now. Once you get to where Sam’s hideout is grapple your way up and speak with Sam.
Upload surveyor photo
Follow Sam to a device you can interact with. Do so to upload the photos.
Upload second photo
Interact with the machine again. After some talking the quest will end.
